174 In Re Proposed Annexation of Territory to City of Santa Ana- Southeast portion In Re Application - Used Car Lot 2002 So. Main St. Peters-Sh~w & Downs In Re Reso. No. 3450 Accepting Deed In Re Corm~unications & Petitions; Speed - S.A.Blvd. at Flower; Traffic Signal - 1st at Lyon condition of roadway on Memory Lane, was denied. Reports were read of City E~gineer and City Attorney to theeffect that only 41.085% of the owners of separa~ parcels in the district proposed to be annexed to the City of Santa Ana, have registered valid protests in writing, it was moved by Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried that it appears that less than a majority of the owners of separate parcels of property within the territory proposed to be annexed, which t~rritory has been designated as "Southeast Santa Aha", have filed written protest thereto, as of the hour set for hearing protests, the same are therefore ruled in- sufficient, and the City Attorney was instructed to prepare a resolution calling a special election within said territory on the question of such proposed annexation Reports were read of City Attorney and City Engineer and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and carried, permission was granted to J.B.Peters, Henry C. Shaw and De,wood Downs to conduct a used car market at 2002 South Main Street. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and carried, Resolution No. 5450 accepting deed from Emmet C. Rogers and Juna Rogers, husband and wife covering Lot "A" of Tract No. 1095, as per map thereof recorded in Book 55, at page 46 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 5450 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, Noes, Trustees Absent ,Trustees Otto R. Haan, Asa Hoffman None W.J.Cheney Communications from City Engineer, City Attorney, Division of Highways and Nadie Kaufman and petitions of residents in vicinity of Santa Ana Boulevard at Flower St., and at First epud Lyon Streets, were read. On recommendation of the City Attorney and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, matters wet® referred to City Engineer to contact Depte of Public Works to investigate reduction of spee~ limit on Santa Ana Boulevard and installation of traffic signal at First and Lyon Streets, and to report back ~ext meeting.
