No. 3450 <br /> <br />Accepting Deed <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Corm~unications & Petitions; <br /> <br />Speed - S.A.Blvd. at Flower; <br /> <br />Traffic Signal - 1st at Lyon <br /> <br /> condition of roadway on Memory Lane, was denied. <br /> <br />Reports were read of City E~gineer and City Attorney <br />to theeffect that only 41.085% of the owners of separa~ <br />parcels in the district proposed to be annexed to the <br />City of Santa Ana, have registered valid protests in <br />writing, it was moved by Trustee Deckert, seconded by <br />Dixon and carried that it appears that less than a <br />majority of the owners of separate parcels of property <br />within the territory proposed to be annexed, which <br />t~rritory has been designated as "Southeast Santa Aha", <br />have filed written protest thereto, as of the hour set <br />for hearing protests, the same are therefore ruled in- <br />sufficient, and the City Attorney was instructed to <br />prepare a resolution calling a special election within <br />said territory on the question of such proposed <br />annexation <br /> <br /> Reports were read of City Attorney and City Engineer <br /> and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and <br /> carried, permission was granted to J.B.Peters, Henry C. <br /> Shaw and De,wood Downs to conduct a used car market at <br /> 2002 South Main Street. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and <br /> carried, Resolution No. 5450 accepting deed from Emmet <br /> C. Rogers and Juna Rogers, husband and wife covering <br /> Lot "A" of Tract No. 1095, as per map thereof recorded <br /> in Book 55, at page 46 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records <br /> of said Orange County, was read, considered, designated <br /> Resolution No. 5450 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees <br />Absent ,Trustees <br /> <br />Otto R. Haan, Asa Hoffman <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />W.J.Cheney <br /> <br />Communications from City Engineer, City Attorney, <br />Division of Highways and Nadie Kaufman and petitions of <br />residents in vicinity of Santa Ana Boulevard at Flower <br />St., and at First epud Lyon Streets, were read. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the City Attorney and on motion of <br />Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, <br />matters wet® referred to City Engineer to contact Depte <br />of Public Works to investigate reduction of spee~ limit <br />on Santa Ana Boulevard and installation of traffic <br />signal at First and Lyon Streets, and to report back <br />~ext meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
