City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting-called to order by Mayor Hoffman. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Trustees Dale Go Deckert, Otto R. Haan, <br /> W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees W. Contractors Assoc. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br /> <br />Convention - Santa Cruz <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Appointments & Resignations <br /> <br />Fire Dept. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br />carried, the Minutes of the meeting of the Executive <br />Board of the Joint 0utfall Sewer held at Anaheim, May 2, <br /> <br />1946, were approved, received and filed. <br /> <br /> On recormnendation of the Building Inspector and on motio~ <br /> <br />of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, Glen <br />Cave was reinstated as a member of the Board of Electrics <br /> <br />Examiners and Clerk instructed to write letter to <br /> <br />N. Wallingford thanking him for his services while on the <br /> <br />Board. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, communication from Building Contractors Assoc. <br />requesting an increase in salaries for Inspectors, was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />Request from Chief of Police for $150.00 to attend <br />International Association for Identification, California <br />Division, Convention to be held at Santa Cruz, was read. <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Fingerprint representative of the Police <br />Department was instructed to attend this Convention from <br />May 8th to llth inclusive and upon his return file an <br />expense account with the Auditor which will be honored b <br />the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, communication from Fire Chief advising that Wm. <br />H. Puffer was reinstated to his former position as Hosem~ <br />on April 1st, 1946 and that the following members of the <br />Department resigned by verbal notice; effective ~ates are <br />as follows:' Harper Housley, April 12th; J. Almus Riggs <br />April 16th; Robert Campbell, April 18th.
