Foust. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on <br />motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a notice <br />of hearing in a newspaper of general circulation, ten <br />days prior to next meeting of the Council on May ~Oth, <br />1946, relative to amendment to Zoning Ordinance of the <br />following described property, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Lots 37 and 38, Block "B", Tract No. 633 to <br /> reclassify as M-1 Light Industrial District <br /> now classified as C-2 Commercial District, <br /> located on the north side of W. 8th St. Just <br /> east of the Pacific Electric tracks, <br /> <br />in accordance with application of Martha Koofolis. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication and Resolution No. 71 of the <br />Planning Commission approving application for variance <br />of Kenneth Hill to build duplex at the northeast <br />corner of Cypress and East Pomona Street in an R-1 <br />single family residence district, was approved. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Resol. No. 3489 <br /> <br />Abstement of Weeds <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Reaolution Concerning Parking Limitations Under Ordinance No. 1030" <br /> <br />abandoning no parking zone located on the north Side <br />of West 1st St. between Main and Sycamore St., located <br />as follows: the easterly 39 feet of the westerly 164 <br /> <br />feet. The east 36 feet. Establishing no parking <br /> <br />zone on the north side of West 1st St. between Main <br />and Sycamore Sts., located as follows: the east 94 fee <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3488 <br />and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees <br />Absent,Trustees <br /> <br />Dale G. Deckert, Otto R. Haan, <br />W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />W. Eugene Dixon <br /> <br />No oral or written objections and protests having been <br /> <br />received against the removal of weeds, on motion of <br /> <br />Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br /> <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"A Resolution Ordering the Street Superintendent <br />to abate the public nuisance heretofore declared <br />by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, <br />to-wit: Weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or <br />downy nature and attain such a large growth as <br />to become a fire menace when dry and which are <br />noxious and dangerous, growing upon certain <br />streets, sidewalks and private property in the <br />City of Santa Ana, by having the weeds referred <br /> to removed" <br /> <br /> <br />
