187 In Re Amendment to Zoning Ordin~uce Resol. No. 90 Martha Koofolis In Re Application for Variance Resol. No. 71 Kenneth Hill The easterly 285 ft. of which is to be changed from R-~, Residence District, to C-2, Co~nercial District; the westerly 12S ft. of which is to be changed from R-l, Single Family Residence, to R-3 Multiple F~nily Residence District, in accordance with application of EnLil W. Foust. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a notice of hearing in a newspaper of general circulation, ten days prior to next meeting of the Council on May ~Oth, 1946, relative to amendment to Zoning Ordinance of the following described property, to-wit: Lots 37 and 38, Block "B", Tract No. 633 to reclassify as M-1 Light Industrial District now classified as C-2 Commercial District, located on the north side of W. 8th St. Just east of the Pacific Electric tracks, in accordance with application of Martha Koofolis. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication and Resolution No. 71 of the Planning Commission approving application for variance of Kenneth Hill to build duplex at the northeast corner of Cypress and East Pomona Street in an R-1 single family residence district, was approved. In Re Resol. No. 3458 Abandon no parking zone & establish nc parking zone In Re Resol. No. 3489 Abstement of Weeds On motion of T~ustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Reaolution Concerning Parking Limitations Under Ordinance No. 1030" abandoning no parking zone located on the north Side of West 1st St. between Main and Sycamore St., located as follows: the easterly 39 feet of the westerly 164 feet. The east 36 feet. Establishing no parking zone on the north side of West 1st St. between Main and Sycamore Sts., located as follows: the east 94 fee was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3488 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent,Trustees Dale G. Deckert, Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman None W. Eugene Dixon No oral or written objections and protests having been received against the removal of weeds, on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "A Resolution Ordering the Street Superintendent to abate the public nuisance heretofore declared by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, to-wit: Weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry and which are noxious and dangerous, growing upon certain streets, sidewalks and private property in the City of Santa Ana, by having the weeds referred to removed"
