Reed In Re Co~nunication Dorothy Knipper In Re Renewal of S.A.A.A.B Lease - W 509-eng-1529 Communications from City Engineer and reply from State Highway Department relative to regulating the speed of traffic on Santa Ana Blvd. and on First St. were read and on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Deckert and carried, communications were received and filed and matter referred to Lieutenant N~elson of the Police Dept. and City Engineer to investigate. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, request of American Legion Post No. 131 to conduct a public dance at the American Legion Hall, on May 9nd, 1946, was granted. ,, On reco~mmendation of the Committee and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, Treesweet Products Co. was granted a permit, for a period of ten years, to construct an overhead crossing over Santa Fe St.; said bridge to be located between 2nd and 3rd Streets, from 60 to 100 feet south, of the intersection of 3rd and Santa Fe Streets, subject to approval of Building Inspector and City Engineer ~nd City Attorney instructed to prepare Resolution covering this permit. ,, The recommendation of the cozmnittee was accepted and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the loading zone located at the southeast corner of 3rd and Sycamore St. is to be transferred to the northeast corner and that parking meter be placed on the southeast corner 3rd and Syc~nore St. and Engineer instructed to prepare resolution covering amendment to Traffic Ordinance to be brought up at the next meeting. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication fro~ Dorothy Knipper relative to manner and attitude of bus driver was received and file( and City Attorney instructed to write Miss Knipper advising her of his findings in the case. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Chairman of the Board was authorized to execute Notice of Renewal of lease W 509-eng-~.529 cover- ing Military Reservation, Air Corps, Replacement Center, U.S. Army Air Corps, for one year beginning July l, 1946 and ending June 30, 1947.
