Leland in the Juvenile Department, which disqualifies her due to age, was received and filed and Clerk instructed to write Niss Home that this matter is handled through the Civil Service Board. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and ~ carried, applications of Earl R. Gamboni, John F.Higgin~ Lawrence A. Cruzen, Jesse L. Hall and E. William Faires to drive taxicabs were granted and Clerk authorized to issue licenses but application of R.W.Williams to drive taxicabs was denied as Ordinance provides that a person must be twenty-one years of age in order to drive taxis or busses and license fee ordered returned. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, request of Otto R. Haan for permission to leaw the state for a period of fifteen days, beginning June lOth, 1948, was granted. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and carrie~, request of Frank Moreno, Manager, "Aocion" for permission to conduct a public dance at V.F.W. Hall, Sth and Broadway, on June Sth, 1945, was granted. ,, On recormnendation of the City Attorney that all electrical facilities of the Pacific Electric Railway Co. have been removed from North Main St., and on metier of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, the liability under the franchise bond written by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co., covering overhead electrical facilities, under Ordinance No. 414, be terminated and Clerk instructed to notify the Bonding Company of this action.
