Main St. <br /> <br />i In Re <br />i Award of bid <br /> <br />Motor Truck Scale <br /> <br />warrants covering demands <br />inclus ive. <br /> <br />numbering 2606 to 2866 <br /> <br />No written or oral protests were received and on motion <br /> <br />of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, ~the <br /> <br />following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance Amending Zoning Ordinance NS. 1074" <br /> <br />and that Sheet No. 45 of the Districting Map of the City <br />of Santa Aha, be amended to reclassify as C-2 all <br /> <br />property now classified as R-1 and lying within the <br /> <br />exterior boundary lines of the proper~y described as <br /> <br />follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Northeast corner of Main St. and <br />Dyer Rd.; thence Easterly along the North line of <br />Dyer Rd. 136 feet to a point; thence Northerly <br />parallel to the East line of Main St., a distance <br />of 436.69 feel, more o~ less, to the South llne of <br />Tract No. 159, thence ~esterly along the South line <br />of Tract No. 1sg, ll feet to a point which is 12§ <br />feet Easterly from the East line of Main St.,; thence <br />Northerly parallel to the East llne of Main St. <br />along the Easterly line of Lots i to 8, incl., of <br />Tract No. 159, and an extension thereof 605.66 feet <br />to the Southeasterly line of the Pacific Electric <br />Right of Way line; thence Southwesterly along the <br />Southeasterly line of the Pacific Electric Right <br />of Way line, 144.01 feet to the Easterly line of <br />Main St.; thence Southerly along the Easterly line <br />of Main St. 968.28 feet to the point of beginning. <br />Also beginning at the Southwesterly corner of Lot <br />18, Block "F", South Santa Ana Tract; thence Easterly <br />180 feet along the Southerly line of said Lot 18 to <br />the Southeasterly corner thereof; thence Northerly <br />along the Easterly line of Lots 18 to 23, incl., <br />341.42 feet to the Northeasterly corner of Lot ~5 <br />of said Tract; thence Westerly along the Northerly <br />line of said Lot 23, 150 feet to the Northwesterly <br />corner thereof which is a point in the Easterly <br />line of Main St., thence Southerly along the <br />Easterly line of Main St., 341.36 feet to the point <br />of beginning, <br /> <br />in accordance with application of Planning Commission, <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br /> <br />second reading. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee, and on motion of <br />Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, the bid <br />of Fairbanks, Morse & Co. covering the furnishing of one <br />20 ton motor truck scale, in the amount of $1,973.00, <br />was accepted. <br /> <br /> In Re <br /> <br />i Bids - Award <br /> <br /> Water ~et ers <br /> <br /> In Re <br /> <br />-Award of bid <br /> <br /> Cast Iron Pipe <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Engineer and on motion of <br />Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, bids on <br />water meters were referred to Engineer to ascertain <br />whether the price on meters would be the same as bid on <br />500 meters if contract is divided equally between the <br />Worthington Pump & Machinery Corp.and Pittsburgh Equitable <br />Meter Co., and if so, contract to be divided between the <br />two firms. <br /> <br />On recoE~aendation of the committee, and on motion of <br /> <br />Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the bid <br /> <br />of the United States Pipe & Foundry Co., in the amount of <br /> <br /> <br />
