Eltiste & Co. Inc. that approximately <br /> <br />seventeen palm trees be removed from the parking in fron <br />of their property on the south side of E. 1st St. <br />beginning approximately 280 feet west of Lyon St. and <br />running west to the intersection of Wright St., was <br />read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, communication was received and filed until such <br />time as proper plans are presented to the Council for <br />their study. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, request of The Foundation Press for a loading <br />zone at 214 W. 8th Street, was denied and Clerk <br />instructed to advise the Foundation Press of this action <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication of the Planning Commission <br />recommending acquisition of right of way and revision of <br />free-way plans outside of the City limits near Placentia <br />Ave. and U.S. lO1 Highway to accomodate Bristol Street <br />connections, was approved and Mayor authorized to write <br />letter to Board of Supervisors requesting surveys to be <br />made as outlined in recommendations of the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, application of H.A.Bradley to conduct the <br />business o2 dealing in motor vehicles at 207 E. First St <br />was granted and Clerk authorized to issue license. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, report of the Police Department for the month <br />of May, 1946, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, notifications of the State Board of Equalizati~ <br />of alcoholic beverage applications made by Benjamin and <br />Flossie N. Baker, Otto H. and Ruth E. Grigg, at 804 No. <br />Flower St., Veterans of Foreign Wars, Inc. 411-~ W. 4th <br />St., and Alton L. and Opal B.
