<br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and
<br />carried, request of J.C.Penney Company for ten day
<br />extension of time on payment of City Sales Tax, and,
<br />request of Mission Pak Co. for thirty day extension,
<br />were granted and Clerk instructed to notify them of
<br />Council action.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, notifications of the State Board of Equalization
<br />of alcoholic beverage applications made by John H. Harms,
<br />
<br />dba Harm's Liquors, 818 W. l?th St., John M. S~exm'2, dba

<br />were received and filed.

<br />On motlon of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, applications of J.C.Glbaon, Harold Warmath,
<br />Maurice H. Cameron, Everett Lee Pearce, Jr., Ronald D.
<br />Saylor, Ben W. Gochenooer, Alfred Fanning and Gilbert
<br />Doyle Todd to drive taxicabs were granted and Clerk
<br />authorized to issue licenses.

<br />Cow.~u~ication from Secretary of Board of Trustees, Bowers
<br />Memorial Museum, recommending that appointments of the
<br />Museum Board men, ems should be staggered; one member
<br />being appointed for a term of one year, anot~ r for two,
<br />another for three, another for four and still another
<br />for five years, was read.

<br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cb.ney and
<br />carried, communication was referred to Chairman of the
<br />Board and City Attorney, with power to act.

<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and
<br />carried, the annual report of the Police Department
<br />for the year 1948, was received and filed.

<br />A petition signed by various tenants in the Co~-uity
<br />Center Building, 110, West Sth Bt., requesting allocation
<br />of space in the building for the purpose of a Lounge,
<br />
<br />was ~ead.

<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cb.ney and
<br />carried, matter was referred to Chairman of the Board
<br />with power to act.

<br />0n motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the Chairman of the Board and Clerk were author-
<br />ized to execute lease between City of Santa Aha and
<br />Orange County Water District, covering leasing or Rooms
<br />22~,2~ and ~Z4, for a period of three years from Feb.
