<br /> Communication was read from the City Engineer submitting escrow
<br /> instructions for the widening of South Main Street covering properties
<br /> owned by Martin E. Lindsey, Earl 0. and Marion V. Conrad, et al,
<br /> Ella K. Young,and Nelson R. and Hattie May Soucie. On motion of
<br /> Trustee McBride, seconded by Hunter and carried, proper official was
<br /> authorized to sign escrow instructions with said persons for rights-
<br /> of-way.
<br />
<br /> Communication was read from the City Engineer submitting escrow
<br /> instructions for the widening of East Seventeenth Street, from Santiag
<br /> Avenue to Grand Avenue, covering property owned by Lois Donahue.
<br />
<br /> On motion of T~ustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, proper
<br /> official was authorized to sign escrow instructions with said person
<br /> for right-of-way, in the amount of $1,322.~0.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the ap-.-
<br />plications of Ireda Ming, Floyd Jones Dickson, Perry W. Winchell and
<br />
<br /> George Hartwell to da-ire taxicabs, were received and permits granted.
<br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hunter and carried, an
<br /> expenditure not to exceed $750.00 was authorized, from the Civil
<br /> Defense Fund, for the erection of partitions, lighting, etc. for the
<br /> Civil Defense Control Center Headquarters, to be located in the City
<br />
<br /> Hall Basement.
<br /> ,
<br /> On recommendation of the Administrator and on motion of Trustee Dahl,
<br /> seconded by McBride and carried, on and after Wednesday, October 3,
<br /> 1951, parking in the City Hall basement shall be limited to City owned
<br /> vehicles and these cars used by City employees in City business and
<br /> for which the City is paying car maintenance or mileage allowance.
