376 Whereas, the Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Aha hue acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement: NOW THeE. OR_, be it resolved, th t the public interest and convenience requires and the Board of Trustees of the city of ~ Santa Ana hereby orders the hereinafter described work to be done and improvement to be made in the City of Santa Ana, on and along a portion of that open public street in said city, commonly known as Cypress Avenue, and which portion theceof is described as commencing at the place where Cypress Avenue is intersected by the south line of Chestnut Avm ue, thence southerly along Cypress Avenue to the place where Cypress Avenue terminates, being the north line of McFadden Street, and the entire width of the described portion of Cypress Avenue, from the curb construct- ed on the easterly side thereof to the curb constructed on the westerly side thereof, and where no curb is constructed then to the easterly and westerly curb lines existing on the.described portion of Cypress Avenue, and when any street or alley inter- ~ sects or terminates in the described portion of Cypress Avenue, then beyond the curbs, and where no curbs exist beyond the curb ~ines, and across-the sidewalk reservations to the east and west property lines of the described portion of Cypress Avenue. (The use hereinafter of the words o~ phrase "Cypress Avenue" is intended ts mean, does mean, and shall at all times be con~ strued to mean the portion of said open public street above described) The work and improvement which t ne Board. of Trustees of the city of Santa Ana by this Resolution orders done ~nd made in, on, and along ~ypress Avenue is ~riefly described as follows: (1) The regrading of Cypress Avenue to a sub-grade five (5) inches belc~ the official grade thereof. (2) The construction, of a concrete curb ~ong the east a~d west side of Cypress Avenue and where a street or alley intersects or terminateg in Cypress Avenue then the construction of return concrete curb on each side of the intersectin~ street ~r alley to the property line on the east and west sides of Cypress Avenue. (~) The construction of 20 lateral house connection sewer trench- es, approximately ? feet deep, said trenches to be opposite each, lot, piece or parce~ of land fronting on Cypress Avenue, except where a lateral house connection sewer a~ready e~ists; eac~ trench to extend easterly or westerly as the case may be fromthe main sewer pipe line now constructed and ex~eting along approximately the center line of Cypress Avenue to and flush with the inside of the curb, now constructed and existing in Cypress Avenue, and where no curb is now constructed then to and inside o~ the curb ~ line. The laying in each of said trench~of a lateral house connection sewer constructed of ~-znch~diameter vitrified salt gla2ed cylindrical sewer pipe connected with the said main sewer pipe line and extending from said main sewer pipe line to and flush with the inside of said curb or curb line, and the back filling
