7O "E~st Seventeenth Street" me~ns the portion of that street above described. "West Seventeenth Street" means the portion of that street above described. The work aud improvement which the Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Ana intends to order done and made in, on, _I amd along East Seventeenth Street is briefly described as follows: (a) The regrading of East Seventeenth Street to a subgrade six inches below the official grade on East Seven- teenth Street as now 8stablished. (b) The excavation in East Seventeenth Street of eight (8) lateral house connection sewer trenches, approxi- mately five feet deep, one trench to be opposite e~ch lot, oleve or parcel of land fronting on East Seventeenth Street, except where a lateral house connection sewer already 6xists. Each trench to extend northerly and southerly as the case may be from the main sewer pipeline now constructed and existing along approximately the center line of East Seventeenth Street to the inside of the curb now constructed or the curb to be constructed pursuant to this Resolution of Intention. ~e laying in each of said trenches of a lateral house Connection sewer constructed of 4 inch inside diameter vitrified salt glazed cylindrical sewer pipe, connected with the said main sewer pipeline and extending from said main sewer pipeline to and inside of said curb, and the backfilling and settling of each of said sewer trenches to a true and solid surface on the subgrade. (c) The construction of a concrete curb along the north and south sides of East Seventeenth Street, and where a street or alley intersects or terminates in East Seven- teenth Street then the construction of return concrete curb i ' on each side of the ntersect]ng or terminating street or alley to the property line on the north and south sides of --~ East Seventeenth Street. (d) The pavement of East Seventeenth Street by the construction on the subgrade of a concrete pavement six inches thick w~th a belt finish wearing surface and complete to the official grade.
