156 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1008. <br /> <br /> A resolution of the Board of Trustees of the city of <br /> Santa Aha, declaring their intention to order t?e construction <br /> <br />of an ornamental lighting system in portions of West Fourth <br />Street, East Fifth Street and West Fifth Street in said city; ] <br />declaring the said work or improvement to be of more than local <br />or ordinary public benefit; declaring the district to be bene- <br />fitted by said w,~k and improvement and to be assessed to pay <br />the costs and expenses thereof; determining that bonds sha~l <br />be issued to represent said costs and exp~nses and fixing the <br />time and place for hearing objections to said work or improve- <br />ment or to the extent of the district to be assessed or both. <br /> <br /> 'l'he Board of Trustees of the c~ty of Santa Aha, Califorula~ <br />pursuant to the provisions of Improvement Act of 1911 and <br />amendments thereto, do resolve as follows: <br /> <br /> SECTION I: The public interest and convenience require, <br />and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the 61ty <br />of Santa Aha, California, to order the c6nstruction of. the <br />following described work and improvement, to wit: <br /> <br /> "a~' The construction, for the purpose of lighting <br /> <br />West Fourth Street between the West line of North Ross Street <br />and the East line of North Artesia Street, of an ornamental <br />lighting system to consist of eighty-six (8~) double light <br />standards of the type and kind known as Design #1724-S, ss <br />manufactured by the Union Metal 5~anufacturing Company. The <br />shaft shall ~e of 2 ply 22 gauge copper bearing steel, and <br />each stsndard shall rest upon a concrete foundation, twenty- <br />four (24) inches square at the top, laid to the sidewalk <br />grade and ss otherwise provided in the detailed plans herein- <br />after referred to, thirty (80) ~nches square at the bottom, <br />with a thickness of t,wenty-four (P. 4) inches. Forty-three <br />of said light standards shall be erected on each side of West <br />Fourth Street at the points designated upon the said detailed <br />~lans, and conduits and conduit bends of Greenfielduct or Gal- <br />vsnite of i 1/4" inside diameter, inclosing cables sha~l be laid <br />to connect the said standards: the radius of bends shall be not <br />less than 8 inches and the cables used shall be No. 8 B & S <br />gauge insulated copper wire. Each light standard shall be fitted <br />with General Electric Form No. lZ Ornamental Novalux unit for <br />BSO candle power 8.8 ampere lamps, with Number 108 Globe <br /> <br /> canopy, polycsse glassware attached to each side <br />and <br /> No. <br /> llOS <br /> <br /> (b) The construction, for the purpose of lighting <br /> <br />East Fifth Street between the West line of French Street and <br />the East line of North Main Street. and of West Fifth Street <br />between the West llne of North 5~ain Street and the East line <br />of Shelton Street, of an ornamental lighting system to consist <br />of eighty-six (88) double light standards of the same type, <br /> <br /> <br />
