196 · <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1437. <br /> <br /> A RES0 LUTION OF T~E BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF ~E CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, CAIIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR A FOR~f OF SPECIFICA- <br />TIONS AND A STANDARD SPECIFICATION FOR AIL "G~!FRAI REQUIRE- <br />5~'ENTS" FOR STRWET WORK IN TI~.~ CITY OF SANTA ANA. <br /> <br />The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha do <br /> <br />resolve aS follows: <br /> <br />SECTION I. That the ~o~16wing set forth specifics- <br /> <br />tigris shall be the standard spe~i~ications for all ?'General <br /> <br />Requirements" for street work in the City of Santa Aha, and <br /> <br />shall be known as "Standard Specification Number 2" as follows, <br /> <br />to-wit: <br /> <br /> All oencee~ ~ a~ $4~n~ral mixinll[ p, lam shall be mixed, transported lad de~)o~ited <br />in its 6hal ~ (30) m~ ~dm the lime the ~fredfieefs llf~: ~ <br />in the mixer ~ <br /> The container in which the mixture is transported sh~ll be sufficiently tight to prevent <br />leakafe of the water contained in the mixed concrete, and they shall be thoron~hly washed <br />or od~rwiae cleaned betore any [seth mixture is placed therein. When reqnleed by the <br />Superintendent of Streets, ibe ~ hauling mixed concrete, shall scent fi~m t~ plant <br />inspector a card indlcatin~ the time when the ingredients were placed in the mixer drum, <br />and they shall deliver such card to the £eld inspector at the site where the concrete is to be <br />dep~ited, in order that the time elapsing between the mixing ~nd the depositing o{ the <br />Concrete can be accurately determined. The ~ailure to deliver · card troln the plant inspector <br />to the lfeld inspector for any load of mixed concrete will be considered sufficient grounds <br />for rejection of that particular load. <br /> <br />SECTION 26. JflXlNO WATER. <br /> The water used in mixing all concrete shall be reasonably free from alkali, silt or <br /> other impurities, and in no case shall the amount of solids exceed three (3) grams per <br /> litre. Where alkali predominates in the solid matter, the solids shall not exceed one and <br /> one-half (1~) grams per litre~ <br /> <br />SECTION ~7. ALLOWABLE VARIATION. <br /> When the maximum or minimum is allowed or prescribed, either in size, per cent, or <br /> thickness, or relating to quality, character or other matter, the work shall be accepted <br /> as in compliance with these specifications ii within such maximum or minimum. <br /> <br />SECTION 118. 1PINAL INSPECTION. <br /> The Contractor shall notify the Superintendent of Streets when he desires a final <br /> inspection of the work The Superintendent of Streets will make the necessary examination <br /> as soon as possible thereafter. If the work is found to be in compliance with these speci- <br /> ficatlons, the said Superintendent of Streets will furnish the Contractor with a certificate <br /> to that effect. <br /> <br />SECTION ~. BID PRICE. <br /> The Contractor shall for the price bid, furnish all equipment, labor and materials <br /> and do all incidental work necessary to deliver all of the improvements complete in place <br /> in accordance with the specifications, ordinances, plans, cross sections and detail drawings, <br /> and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> <br /> I hereby certify that the <br /> <br />duly end regularly pasmed by the Board of Trustees <br />of Santa Aha, at s regular meeting thereof held on <br />of March, 1925, by the following vote: <br /> <br />foregoing Resolution was <br /> <br /> oft he City <br /> the 2nd day <br /> <br /> <br />
