RESOLUTION NO. 59-167 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE <br />ANNEXATION OF TE~I--~ TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESIGNA- <br />TI~~ AN APPROPRIATE NAME 0F "TUSTIN AND FREEWAY N. W. <br />ANNEX" Ai~D GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING <br />PROTESTS THEHETO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory <br />hereinbelow described, a description and map of said te~-ritor,y was <br />1~ esented to the Boundary Commission of Or.ange County, and said <br />Commission has approved said description as being reasonably definite <br />and certain; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFOEE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of <br />the real property herein described to said City for the following <br />teas ons: <br /> <br /> 1. That the area can best be served by the City of Santa Ana <br />with municipal services of the highest caliber anywhere obtainable. <br /> <br /> 2. That said territory would receive the greatest economic <br />benefit by becoming a part of the City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares <br />its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described <br />under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act <br />of 1939 and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin- <br />habited within the meaning of Goverr~ment Code Section 35303 on the <br />date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is con- <br />tiguous to the City of Santa Aha, lies in the County of Orange, State <br />of Califor~ia, and is described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the Northwest co~ner of Lot E of the Stafford and <br /> Tustin Tract of land on the Rancho Santiago de Sm ta Ana, as <br /> shown on a map ~ecorded in Book 2, pages 618 and 619, Miscel- <br /> laneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, said North- <br /> west corner being on a point on the city boundary of the City <br /> of Santa Aha, California, and running thence easterly along <br /> said city boundary and along th&-sodth line O2~-First Street to <br /> the Northeast co~ner of the north half of the west half of <br /> said Lot E and to an angle point in said city boundary; thence <br /> southerly along the east line of said north half of the west <br /> half of Lot E m~ d along said city boundary to the southeast <br /> co~ner of said north half of the west half of Lot E and to an <br /> angle point in said city boundary; thence easterly along the <br /> south line of the north half of Lot E and along said city <br /> boundary to the southeast co~ner of said north half of Lot E <br /> and to a~ angle point in said city boundary and to the west <br /> line of Tustin Avenue 66.00 feet wide, and to the city limit <br /> <br /> <br />
