<br /> RESOLUTION ORDERING ACQUISITION AND
<br /> IMPROVEMENT
<br /> NO. 2148
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, at the time, place ~nd in the manner set forth in Resolution
<br /> of Intention No. 2142, adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana on
<br /> the 4th day of November, 1929, In the Matter of Acquisition and Improvement
<br /> District No. 4 of the City of Santa Ana, a full, fair and impartial hearing was
<br /> accorded all persons having any objections to those things proposed to be done as
<br /> set forth in said Resolution; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, this City Council has adopted its Resolution passing upon all
<br /> protests presented, both written and oral, and has made its determination as to
<br /> the extent of the Assessment District, and the grades to ~ich the contemplated
<br /> work and improvements are to be constructed; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, evidence has been received as to the publication of said
<br /> Resolution of Intention No. 2142, and the posting of NOTICE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
<br /> therein ordered posted, at the time and in the manner prescribed by law, and as t~
<br /> the necessity for the acquisitions and improvements contemplated, ~nd the benefit~
<br /> to be derived therefrom;

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa
<br /> Aha, that it is hereby found, determined and ordered as follows:
<br />
<br /> 1. That th~ sa~d Resolution of Intention No. 2142, heretofore adopted on
<br /> the 4th day of November, 1929, has been duly and legally published as required by
<br /> law, and that the Notice of Public Improvement therein directed to be posted has
<br /> heeh duly and legally posted in the time, form, manner and number as required by
<br /> law, and that all protests or objections presented have been disposed of in time~
<br /> form andmanner as required by law, and that this Legislative Bod~has now acquire
<br /> Jurisdiction to order the. things proposed to be done, as set forth in said
<br /> Resolution of Intention No. 2142.

<br /> 2. That the public interest and necessity require, and it is hereby
<br />ordered that the fo$1owing acquisitions for the Opening of a street seventy (70)
<br />feet in width lying Northeasterly of and immediately adjacent to.the Souther~
<br />Pacific Railroad Company's Hight of Way, between Main Street and Chapman Avenue in
<br />said City of Santa Ana, together with the necessary parcels of land for slope
<br />easements, revetment work and curves at certain street intersections, said street
<br />to be known as and called "Santa Ana Boulevard"; the extending of Broadway from
<br />the ~resent Northerly limits of said street, across the Southern Pacific Railroad
<br />Company's right of way, and connecting with the proposed Santa Ana Boulevard,
<br />together with the necessary land for the curve a~ the intersection of said Broadws
<br />with Santa Ana Boulevard, the widening of Flower Street~ between Santa Clara Avenu
<br />and Santa Aha Boulevard to make said street a un!form width of eighty (80) feet~
<br />together with the necessary parcels of land for curves at certain street intersect.

<br />passed and adopted on the 4th day of November, 1929, and in the specifications
<br />referred to, and that the property necessary to be taken for such opening of
<br />
<br />Santa Aha Boulevard,~extension of Broadway and widening of Flower Street, and whicl
<br />is hereby ordered to be acquired therefor is that described in Section i of said
<br />
