Resolution of Intention No. 2142. <br /> <br /> 3. That the public interest and necessity require and it is hereby ordered <br /> <br /> that the work and improvements on Santa Ana Boulevard, from Main Street to Chapman <br /> Avenue, which includes those portions thereof which are to be acquired tmderthese pro- <br /> ceedings, together with the necessary parcels of land for slope easements, and revetmen~ <br /> work to protect the improvements upon Santa Ana Boulevard, where the same crosses <br /> Santiago Creek, which parcels of land are also to be acquired under these proceedings; <br /> upon Broadway from Santa Clara Avenue to Santa Aha Boulevard; and on portions of <br /> Charlotte Street, Roe Drive, Main Street, Chapman Avenue, Flower Street and Riverside <br /> Drive, all as particularly set forth and described in said Resolution of Intention No. <br /> 2142, and in the specificationE, plans, profiles and detailed d~awings therein referred <br /> to, be made and done. <br /> <br /> 4. That the boundaries of the Assessment District and the grades to which <br /> <br /> said improvements are to be constructed shall be those set forth in said Resolution of <br /> Intention No. 2142, and in the specifications therein referred to, reference to which <br /> is hereby made. <br /> <br /> 5. That tho City Attorney of the City of Santa Aha is hereby ordered to bring <br /> an action in the name of the City of Santa Ana in the Superior Court of the State of <br /> California, in and for the County of Orange, for the condemnation of the property <br /> necessary to be taken for the acquisition herein ordered, and described in Section 1 <br /> of said Resolution of Intention No. ~14~, and to do all things necessary to prosecute sa~.d <br /> action to final determination. <br /> <br /> 6. That the public interest and convenience require and it is hereby ordered <br /> that the City of Santa Ana, plaintiff in the said condemnation action, take immediate <br /> possession and use of the property herein ordered to be acquired, upon complying with <br /> the requirements of law applicable thereto, and that the said City Attorney report to <br /> this City Council the amounts of money required therefor as soon as the same can be <br /> ascertained. <br /> <br /> 7. That the time hereby fixed for receiving bids for the doing of s~id work <br /> <br /> and improvements herein ordered is the 16th day of December, 1929, at the hour of 7:30 <br /> o'clock P.M., and the Clerk of this City Council is hereby ordered to post and to pub- <br /> lish in the newspaper dosignated in said Resolution of Intention No. B142, a notice <br /> inviting sealed bids, requiring in such notice that all bids shall be accompanied by a <br /> certified check or bond~ all as required by the provisions of Section lB, of the <br /> "Acquisition and Improvement of 1925", as amended. <br /> <br /> 8. That to defray the expenses of the acquisitions, work and improvements <br /> <br />herein ordered, bonds will be issued to the total ~mount of the same, said bonds to <br />bear interest at the rate of six percent per anntu~ (except as herein stated, for acq- <br />uisition and immediate possession bonds) payable semi-annually, the first interest pay- <br />ment to be made on the Bnd day of January, or the Bnd day of July (whichever month <br />first succeeds the date of the bonds) next succeeding one year after the date of such <br />bonds, and the aggregate principal of all bonds issued under these proceedings to be <br />paid and discharged within twenty-three years after the date of issuance, approximately <br />one-twentieth part of such aggregate principal to be paid annually, all in gold coin, <br />and that a special fund for the payment of said bonds will be constituted by the levy of <br />special assessment taxes upon the lands within the &ssessment District (excepting the <br /> <br /> <br />
