RESOLUTION NO. 60-16 CALLING A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL <br />ELECTION TO BE HELD ON ~tE 5TH DAY 0F APRIL, 1960, <br />TO SUBMIT TO THE ELECTORS IN THAT TERRITORY DESIGNATED <br />"SOUTH SANTA ANA ANNEX NO. 2" THE QUESTION OF ANNEX- <br />ATION OF SAID TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />CALIFORNIA, AND ORDERING A CORRECTED DESCRIPTION AND <br />MAP OF SAID TERRITORY TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE ORANGE <br />COUNTY BOUNDARY COMMISSION TO DELETE ALL TERRITORY WEST <br />OF BRISTOL STREET WHICH IS SOUTH OF PAULARIN0 AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br />Aha adopted Resolution No. 59-278, con~enting to commencement of <br />proceedings to annex certain inhabited territory to said City <br />after receiving a request therefor~ referring said request to the <br />Santa Ana Planning Commission, and receiving from said Planning <br />Commission a report recommending said annexation, and thereafter <br />the proponents of said annexation published notice of intention to <br />circulate a petition for said annexation and filed an affidavit <br />of such publication attached to a copy of said published notice <br />which contained an accompanying statement of reasons for said <br />annexation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ said City Council thereafter adopted Resolution <br /> <br />No. ~9-279 acknowledging receipt and ordering filed said affidavit <br />of publication together with the copy of the notice published <br />contain~g description of the property, reasons for the annexation <br />and names of the proponents, and approving circulation of a peti- <br />tion for annexation, and said petition was thereafter duly cir- <br />culated, filed, examined and presented to said City Council, to- <br />gether with the Certificates of the Clerk of the Council of said <br />City, and the Certificate of the County Clerk of Orange County, <br />showing that more than one-fourth of the qualified electors re- <br />siding within said territory had signed said petition for annexation; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Said City Council thereafter adopted Resolution No. <br />~9-315 declaring intention to call a special election in territory <br />in said Resolution designated "South Santa Aha Annex No. 2", to <br />submit the question of annexation of territory to the electors <br />residing therein, and fixing January 18, 1960, at 7:30 PM, in the <br /> <br /> <br />
