to 5:00 P.M. on <br />tional days for <br />35120; and <br /> <br />Santa Ana Council Chambers as the day, hour and place for owners <br />to show cause why said territory should not be annexed, and notice <br />for owners of land within said territory to file protests, and at <br />said hearing it appeared protests filed against said election <br />represented less ~han one-half of the value of said territory. <br />which fact was found and dec.red, and the period of time for <br />filing p~otests against said election was then and there extended <br /> <br /> January 28, 1960, to allow any objectors ten addi- <br /> such filing, as required by Government Code Section <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after January ~8, 1960, all protests were again <br />examined and it was t;~en detem~ined that a majority protest had <br />not been made, and this fact was declared by the Council's state- <br />ment that the protest represented 4% of the assessed value of <br />said territory; <br /> <br /> NOW, ~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Aha finds and declares that protest against the <br />annexation of territory heretofore designated as "South Santa Aha <br />Annex No. 2", and against the holding of an election on the ques- <br />tion of annexation, has not been made by the owners of one-half <br />of the value of said territory, as shown on the last equalized <br />assessment roll of the County of Orange, California, and said <br />City Council hereby calls a special municipal election on the <br />question of annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Aha, <br />California, and the same is ordered to be held in said territory <br />on the 5th day of April, 1960, to submit to the electors residing <br />in said territory the question of whether or not the same shall <br />be so annexed. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the boundaries of the "South <br />Santa Ana Annex No. 2" are hereby changed and amended to delete <br />from said territory an amount of less than 5% thereof, the same <br />to be an area lying West of Bristol Street and South of Paularino <br />Avenue, in accordance with detailed instrUctions ~ereto given to <br />the Public Works Department for an amended description and map of <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
