RESOLUTION NO. b0-25 DECLARING INTENTION TO CALL A <br />SPECIAL ELECTION IN THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY HERETOFORE <br />KNOWN AND HEREIN DESIGNATED AS "BERRYDALE AND TRASK N. <br />E. ANNEX" TO SUBMIT TO r~E ELECTORS RESIDING THEREIN <br />THE QUESTION OF ANNEXATION TQ THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE DATE AND PLACE FOR PROPERTY <br />OWNERS TO SHOW CAUSE WHY SAID TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE <br />ANNEXED AND FOR THE FILING OF PROTESTS AGAINST SAID <br />ELECTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore, at the request of residents and prop- <br />erty owners ~[thin the area hereinbelow described, and after approv- <br />al and recommendation favoring said annexation, fr~m the Santa Ana <br />Planning Commission, the City Cotmcil of the City of Ssnta Ana <br />adopted Resolution No. 59-313, giving consent to the commencement <br />of proceedings under the Annexation ~ct of 1913; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, taereafter, proponents of said annexation published <br />notice of intention to circulate petition for said annexation, and <br />an accompanying statement of reasons, and then filed a copy of said <br />notice and statement of reasons, together with an affidavit of <br />publication thereof, with said City Council, and said City Council <br />adopted Resolution No. 59-314 which, among other things, approved <br />circulation of petition for annexation of said area to the City; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, thereafter said petition was duly circulated, filed <br />with the Clerk of the Council, examined by said Clerk and by the <br />County Clerk of 0range County, California, and the voters' records <br />having been examined, and Certificates of said two Clerks having <br />been rece~.ved and filed, certifying that said petitions represent <br />more th~u one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within <br />the territory, as shown by the County registration of voters; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that said petition requests annex- <br />ation of the territory to the City of Santa Ana, describes said <br />territory, and is signed by more than one-fourth of said qualified <br />electors residing within said territory; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said City Council hereby de- <br />clares its intention to call a speci~ annexation election to <br />submit to the electors residing wit~in said territor~ the question <br /> <br /> <br />
