RESOLUTION 64-102 DECLARING INTENTION TO CALL <br />A SPECIAL ELECTION ON THE QUESTION OF ANNEXATION <br />OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, <br />DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAME FOR SAID TERRITORY <br />AND GIVING NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEAPING WHERE OWNERS <br />OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY MAY APPEAR <br />AND PROTEST AGAINST SUCH ANNEXATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore there was filed with the Clerk of the <br />Council of the City of Santa Ana a Petition requesting that <br />territory therein described be annexed to said City and said <br />Petition is hereby received by this City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this City Council hereby finds and declares that <br />said Petition is signed by not less than one-fourth of the <br />qualified electors residing within said territory; that said <br />Petition contains a description of the new territory therein <br />requested to be annexed to said City and requests such annexation. <br /> <br /> NOW, T~RREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED= That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to call a <br />special election for the purpose of submitting to the electors <br />residing within the territory hereinbelow described the question <br />of whether or not said territory should be annexed to the City <br />of Santa Ana and hereby designates the name by which said territory <br />may be referred to upon the election ballots as "SANTA CLARA AND <br />TUSTIN N.W. ANNEXATION". <br /> <br /> Said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies <br />in the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at the intersection of the South line of Santa <br />Clara Avenue with the West line of Tustin Avenue said <br />point being 25.00 feet South and 30.00 feet West of the <br />Southwest corner of Lot 5 in Block "B" of the A. B. Chal~an <br />Tract as surveyed by Frank Lecouvreur in December, 1870 and <br />shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 102, page 15, <br />Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, <br />said point of beginning being on the point of beginning of <br />the description of the land annexed to the City of Santa <br />Aha August 5, 1963, by Ordinance No. NS-682; and running <br />thence North 0° 53' 22" East, 685.00 feet along said NS-682 <br />boundary and along the West line of Tustin Avenue to the <br />Westerly extension of the North line of the South One-half <br />(S.½) of said Lot 5, said West line being 30.00 feet <br />Westerly measured at right angles from the center line of <br />Tustin Avenue; thence continuing along said NS-682 boundary <br />South 88° 57' 07" East 1,350.30 feet along said Westerly <br />extension and along said North linetD a point on the East <br />line of said Lot 5 and to a point in the Tustin city boundary <br />as established by Tustin City Ordinance No. 145; thence <br />departing from said Santa Aha city boundary and running <br />along said Tustin city boundary North 0° 53' 22" East, <br />660 feet, more or less, along the East line of said Lot 5 <br />to the Southeast corner of Lot 16 of Tract No. 2989 as <br />shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 89, page 1, Miscel- <br />laneous Maps, Records of said Orange County;~thence departing <br />frc~ said Tustin city boundary and running North 88° 57' 09" <br />West, 1,350.82 feet along the South line of said Tract <br />No. 2989 and along the South line of Lot 4, Block "B", in <br />said A. B. Chapman Tract, and its Westerly extension to a <br />point in the West line of Tustin Avenue, said West line <br />being 30.00 feet Westerly, measured at right angles from the <br />center line of Tustin Avenue; thence along said West line <br />South 0° 53' 22" West 145 feet, more or less, to a point <br /> <br /> <br />
