<br /> Section 15. That vendors shall conduct their business at the
<br />market in an orderly and quiet manner, and shall not solicit trade
<br />in a loud or offensive manner.
<br />
<br /> Section 16. That vendors shall keep the space assi~ned to
<br />them clean and sanitary; shall provide metal market cans of not
<br />less than 10 ga~llons each, and keep all refuse and rubbish therein,
<br />and shall within 15 minutes of close of business, or after vacating
<br />such space remove said cans and all rubbish, refuse, goods,
<br />wares, merchandise, commodities and all other articles placed
<br />there by such vendor or that may have collected upon such space
<br />during the conduct of said business.
<br />
<br /> Section l?.That vendors shall not sell or offer for sale any
<br />commodity after the market is closed for business.
<br />
<br /> Section 15. That the following schedule of fees per day shall
<br />be charged vendors for the use of each space at said market; for
<br />the sale of vegetables, fruits, eggs, poultry, game, dairy products
<br />flowers, plants, jams, preserves, honey, Jellies, and relishes,
<br />25 cts.; for the sale of home cooked foods, bread and pastry,
<br />prudced without the limits of the City of Santa Ana, for each space
<br />or portion of space ~l.O0; for the conduct of lunch stands 25 cts.
<br />for the sale of ice cream, milk, cider, and similar refreshments
<br />25 cts. for the sale of articles of handicraft (home products)
<br />25 cts.; an additional charge for spaces covered by awnings 10 cts.
<br />for any portion of space 5 cts., the charge for any portion of a
<br />space, except as otherwise herein provided shall be 1~ cts.
<br />
<br /> Section 19. That no license tax, fee or other charge, other
<br />than the fees mentioned in Section 18 of this Ordinance shall be
<br />charged or collected from any person, firm or corporation for con-
<br />ducting the business of said municipal market.
<br />
<br /> Section 20.That it shall be unlawful for any vendor to offer
<br />for sale or sell or solicit orders to sell at said municipal market
<br />any commodity not mentioned in Section 18 of this Ordinance.
<br />
<br /> Section 21. That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm
<br />or corporation to occupy any space, or to carry on or attempt to
<br />carry on.any business at said municipal market without having first
<br />obtained the permit so to do.
<br />
<br /> Section 22. That permits for conducting business at the
<br />municipal market shall be granted by the market master upon appli-
<br />cation therefor by any person, firm or corporation desiring to
<br />conduct business at the municipal market; that application for such
<br />permit shall be made at or before the closing of the market on the
<br />market day next proceeding the day on which such applicant desires
<br />to carry on business under such permits that such application shall
<br />contain the name and ad~ress of the applicant; a statement of the
<br />kind or kinds of commodities desired to be sold in the municipal
<br />market, a statement of the place, giving street number or other
<br />address where such commodity is produced, manufactured o~ pumchased
<br />and a statement of the time when such applicant desires to use
<br />such permit and s~id application shall be accompanied with suffi-
<br />cient money to pay the market fee for the time requested in said
<br />application, and if said application is in accordance with the
<br />provisions of th~$ Ordinance, the market master shall issue to said
<br />applicant a permit to do business at said municipal market in
<br />accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance,provided however,
<br />that the market master may revoke and cancel anyp~mit to do business
<br />at the municipal market upon the violation of any of the provisions
<br />of this Ordinance by the holder of any permit or for any misre-
<br />presentation in such vendors application for permit, and notice of
<br />such revocation and cancellation may be given verbally or in writing,
<br />and after such notice is given, it shall be unlawful for any persOn,
<br />firm or corporation, whose permit has been revoked or cancelled
<br />to carry on or to offer to carry on any business at said municipal
<br />market,and provided further, that the market master may refuse to
<br />issue a second permit to any person, firm, or corporation whose
<br />permit shall have been previously revoked or cancelled because of
<br />the violation of any of the provisions of this Ordinance; that
<br />such permit shall be written or printed and the samr shall beposted
<br />conspicuously at the place of business of the holder thereof,
<br />during market hours.
<br />
<br /> Section 23. That a municipal market luna is hereby created
<br />that the market master shall at the end of each market day pay to
<br />the Treasurer of the City of Santa Ana, all fees, revenues and funds
<br />collected on account of said market, taking receipts therefor, and
<br />all of said collections shall be placed in such municipal market
<br />fund, and no transfer sha~l be made to any other fund from said
<br />municipal market fund; and all expenses incident to the conduct of
<br />said municipal market shall be paid out of the municipal market fund
<br />and from no other fund.
<br />
<br /> Section 24. That the office of Market Master is hereby
<br />created and that the Market Master shall give a bond to the City of
<br />Santa Ana in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars conditioned for the
<br />faithful performance of the duties of Market Master.
<br />
<br /> Section 25. That the Market Master shall, under the direc-
<br />tion of the Board of Trustees, have supervision and control of the
<br />Municipal Market, shall receive applications, issue and revoke per-
