<br />shall be issued to any person, firm or corp0r~tion, to sell
<br />fruits or vegetables from any wagon or other vehicle or convey-
<br />ance in the area in the City of Santa Aha bound on the East by
<br />French Street; on the West by Ross Street; on the North by
<br />Sixth Street, and on the South by First Street; which said area
<br />the Board of Trustees declares to be a too highly congested
<br />
<br />area for wagons for the sale of commodities.
<br /> 4. ~he Ordinance No. 858 of the City of Senta Ana,
<br />and Section 4~ thereof which reads "For every person, firm, or
<br />corporation, conducting, managing, or carrying on a hotel, room~
<br />lng-house, or lodging-house, boarding-house, apartment house, '
<br />the gross annual receipts of which business amounts to less tha~
<br />$~000.00, $5.00 per quarter. For the purpose of this ordinance
<br />the term "rooming-house" is termed to be a house where there
<br />are four or more rooms to rent; and "apartment-house" where
<br />there are three or more apartments to rent", shall be amended
<br />and is hereby amended to read as follows: "For every person,
<br />firm, or corporation, conducting, managing, or carrying on a
<br />hotel, rooming-house or lodging house, boarding house, apart-
<br />ment house, flat or court, the gross annual receipts of which
<br />business amount to less than $5000.00, $5.00 per quarter.

<br /> For the purpose of this ordinance, the term, "rooming-
<br />house", is termed to mean a house where there are four or ~ore i
<br />rooms for rent; "apartment house" where ther~ are three or more
<br />apartments for rent; "flat" where there are three or more flats
<br />for rent; and "court" where there are three or more bungalows
<br />or living quarters for rent, whether under one roof or not, pro,
<br />viding the same are situated upon the same lot or adjoining lots
<br />or parcels of land.

<br /> 5. That ~rdinance No. 858 of the City of Santa Ana
<br />and that Section 4~ which reads a~ follows: "For every person,
<br />firm, or corporation, conducting, managing or carrying on the
<br />business in the City of Santa Ana of collecting articles to be
<br />laundered in a plant operated by steam or other motor power, the
<br />s~n of $5.00 per quarter" is herebs~ amended so as to read as
<br />follows: "For every person, firm, or corporation, conducting,
<br />managing or carrying on, or engaged in the business of a laun-
<br />dry, the gross annual income of which is less than $5000.00,
<br />$5.00 per quarter", and adding Sectlon 46-A, as follows: "For
<br />every person, firm, or corporation, engaged in the business of
<br />soliciting or delivering laundry w~k either to or from any
<br />laundry not having a fixed place of business in the City of
<br />Santa Ana, either ~ rectly or through its agent in the said
<br />City, $10.00 per quarter."

<br /> 6. That Ordinance No. 658 of the City of Santa Ana,
<br />and Section 49 thereof which reads "For every person, f~rm, or
<br />corporation conducting, managing or carrying on the business of
