374 <br /> <br /> then the Bond hereinbefore provided for shall be subject to said <br /> payment and shall insure the ame. <br /> <br /> SECTION VI. The house-mover shall have the right to appeal <br />to the City Counci$ if he believes that the estimate oF statement fur- <br />nished by any utility o!r municipality for protecting their property on <br />the streets is excessive, whereupon the City Council shall hear such <br />matters and determine whether or not said estimate or statement is <br />cessive and in case it find it so to be, then the City Council shall <br />fix such sum as it deems adequate for said house-mover to deposit, and <br />the sum so fixed by the City Council shall be deducted by the Street <br />Superintendent from the money deposited by the applicant in lieu of tl~ <br />estimate or statement and paid to the claimant. <br /> <br /> SECTION VII. After the co~pletion of said moving the Street <br />Supe~intendent of said City shall refund to the applicant any remain- <br />ing amount not chargeable hereunder. <br /> <br /> SECTION VIII. Any person, firm or corporation, as principal, <br />officer, agent, clerk or employee, whether acting for himself or it- <br />self or for another person, fi~ or corporation, who or which shall <br />violate any provision of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misde- <br />meanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not <br />exceeding three hundred ($300.00) dollars or imprisonment in the City <br />Jail not exceeding three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> <br /> SECTION IX. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of <br />this ordinance and cause the same to be published three times in the <br />Santa Ana Daily Evening Register and it shall be in full force and <br />effect thirty (30) days after the first publication. <br /> <br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was adopted <br />by the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, at its regular <br />meeting held on April 5th, 1926, by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees C.H. Chapman, Geo McPhee, E.B. Collier, <br /> Stanley E. Goo de, F.L. Purinton <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None <br />Absent, Trustees None <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />( SEAL ) <br /> <br /> E. L.
