Ve6el~ <br />Clerk - City of Santa Aha <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 796. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ANENDING SECTION OF <br />ORDINANCE NO. 641 FGq THE PURPOSE OF REGULATING THE KEEPING OF DOMESTIC <br />ANIMALS. <br /> <br />The Board of Tr~Astees of the City of Santa Ana, do ordain <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION I. That section 4 of Ordinance No. 641 adopted and <br /> <br />approved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, California, <br /> <br />on the 16th day of June, 1919, is hereby amended to read as foll~s: <br /> <br /> Section 4: It shall be ~nlawful for any person or persons <br />to keep or maintain any bends, ducks, geese or other domestic fowls <br />or rabbits or any kind of tame animals, except cats, dogs, and canary <br />birds, within twenSy-five (25) feet of any family residence, their <br />own included. Rabbits must be kept in a hutch approved by the Health <br />Department; no box~ hutches will be permitted. Ail must be Wept in a <br />sanitary condition at all times. It shall also be unlawful for any <br />person or persons to cause or permit said fowls or animals to go or be <br />at large and to go or be upon the premises owner or occupied by any <br />other person without such other person's consent, or to so keep or <br />have any such fowls or animals so as to be offensive to or annoy any <br />per,on or persons residing in the neighborhood where they are kept <br />or had so as to feuder life uncomfortable. <br /> <br />SECTION II. All ordinances or parts of ordinance as the <br /> <br />same effect~his Ordinance are to that extent repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION III. The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to <br /> <br />be published for three (3) times in the Santa Aha Daily Evening Regis- <br /> <br />ter, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Santa Ana, <br /> <br />California, and thirty (30) days thereaTter the same shall be in full <br /> <br />force and effect. <br /> <br />M~y, <br /> <br />the following'~ote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br /> The foregoing ordinance was introduced on the 17th day of <br />1926, and passed and adopted on the 24th day of May, 1926, by <br /> <br />C.H.
