22O <br /> <br />City Council be of the opinion that a correct detAx'mination of applicant's complain <br />cannot be had without the aid of the Board of Examiners they~ay call in said <br />Board of Examiners and when notified that its aid and advice are required by the <br />City Council, shall assist in determination of such appeal as an advisory body. <br />The City Council shall certify to the Board of Examiners the results of its <br />detemmimation of all appeals and when so certified the same shall be spread upon <br />the record of the Board of Examiners and said Board of Examiners shall begoverned <br />by and forthwith make all necessary orders to give full force and effect to the <br />decision of said City Council. <br /> <br />Section 12. REGISTRATION. <br /> <br /> Every person who shall have obtained from the Board of Examiners, a <br />certificate as provided by this ordinance, after procuring said certificate and <br />before engaging in or doing any electrical work, or laying out or'electrical <br />system of any hour, building or structure in the City of Santa Aha shall first <br />register his name and address as well as the location of his place of business <br />with the Secretax~ of the Beard of Ex-mlners. Every person so registered shall <br />notify the Secretary o~the Board of E~am~ners of any change in his add~ess or <br />place of business~ith~rive (5) days after the same shall have been made. <br /> <br />Section 13. E~IBITING CERTIFICATE. <br /> <br /> (a) Every Master Electrician as herein defined having a certificate <br />effective under the provisions of this ordinance and carrying on the business or <br />trade of electrical work at a fixed place of business shall keep such certificate <br />posted and exhibited while in force in some conspicuous part of said place of <br />business. <br /> <br /> (c) Every person having a certificate effective under the provisions <br />of this ordinance shall produce and exhibit the same whenever requested to do so <br />by any police officer or'by the Electrical Inspector or any officer authorized to <br />act under the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 14. LICENSE <br /> <br /> No electrical permit shall be issued to angelectrician unless he shall <br />have first obtained a Master Electrician's certificate from the Board of Examiners, <br />and have paid the annual license fee. <br /> <br />Section 15. UNLAWFUL TO DO ELECTRICAL WORK WITHOUT CERTIFICATE <br /> <br /> (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to carry on, do or engage in <br />any electrical work on private property, or do similar work affecting the <br />electrical system of any house, building or structure in the City of Santa Aha <br />without a Master Electrician's certificate or without a Journeyman electrician's <br />certificate, as the case may be, provided that apprentices of Master Electrician's <br />may assist in such work or perform such work in the presence of and under the <br />direction of a registered Master or Journeyman electrician who shall Be responsible <br />for the work of such apprentices. <br /> <br /> (b) In the case of a firm or corporation engaged in any such electrical <br />work the provisions of this ordinance relative to certificate of qualifications <br />shall be deemed to be complied with if the member of such firm, officer of such <br />corporation, foreman or other persons in charge of electrical work for such <br />firm or corporation shall have received a master electrician's certificate. <br />Provided, however, that said Master Electrician's certificate shall be issued only <br />in the name of such firm or corporation by wh°m the person taking the examination <br />is employed, and said ~s~er Electrician's certificate shall remain in force and <br />effect only so long as the persons actually taking the e~mlnation shall remain <br />a member of or an employee of such firm or corporation. Nothing herein contained <br />shall be deemed to permit any person to have charge of, exercise any control over <br />or ~.i~e~ any electrical work without having obtained a master and/or Journeym~ <br />electrician's. Certificate. but nothing herein contained shall be construed to <br />require a master electrician's or Journeyman electrician's certificate of any <br />person before any such person shall be allowed to perform any electrical work upon <br />his own property or premises used and occupied exclusively for living purposes <br />by such persons. <br /> <br /> (c) It shall also be unlawful for any Master Electrician to employ or <br />avail Himself of the services of any Journeyman electrician to do or engage in any <br />work affecting the electrical work of any house, building or structure in the <br />City of Santa Aha unless such a Journeyman shall first h~ve complied with all the <br />provisions Of this ordinance and shall have been issued a certificate of <br />qualifications o* a t~m?~rary permit az provided in Section 6, subsection (d) <br />hereOfe <br /> <br /> Section l~. <br /> <br /> (a) No person, firm or corporation shall engage in the business of <br />contracting electrical installation or inst~ lations,~alterations and or repairs <br />for any purpose whatsoever without first having deposited with the City Clerk a <br />bond in the sumof Five Hundred Dollars ($§00.00) and having procured a license <br />as hereinafter provided. <br /> <br /> (b) Any person desiring to be licensed as a Master Electrician or as a <br />Journeyman electrician must make application with the City Clerk for a license as <br />a Master Electrician or a Journeym-n electrician. Said application must be <br />accompanied by the sum of Fifteen Dollars ($1B.00) for a Master Electrician andby <br />the sumof Five Dollars ($8.00) for a Journeym~u electrician to cover the <br />e~mluation as hereinafter provided.
