together with the sum as specified, said application with fee and applicant mast be <br />referred to the Board of Ex-miners for an examination and upon the completion of a <br />successful examination, said application must be returned to the City Clerk by said Boa~ <br />of Examiners with a notation that said applicant is qualified to be licensed as a Master <br />Electrician or a Journeyman electrician.' Whereupon said City Clerk shall notify said <br />applicant that he has passed a successful ex-m~uation and can be licensed as a Master <br />Electrician or as a Journeyman electrician. <br /> <br /> (c) There shall be no additional fee for a Journeyman electric~-~ but every <br />per,on, fircuor corporation who successfully passes an examination and obtains a <br />certificate entitling such applicant to obtain a license as a Master Electrician before <br />obtaining such license must pay an annual license fee of Twenty-five Dollars ($28.00) <br />for every year or portion thereof. Said fee shall bepaid in advance by any Master <br />Electrician at the time of the issuance of the original license for said person, firm or <br />corporation to operate as a Master Electrician. <br /> <br /> (d) It is further provided that at the tLme alicense is granted to such <br />Master Electrician such Master Electrician must have established in the business distric' <br />within the City of Santa Aha, a regular or established.place of business at which place <br />of business is kept the necessary tools, equipment and merchandise for the carrying on <br />of such business as Master Electrician. The term 'regular or established place of <br />business~ as used in this ordinance is meant and shall be construed to mean a perm,nent <br />Store orplace where from month to month the business of Master Electrician is <br />generally conducted and where circumstances show an intention of becoming an established <br />business and continuance part of the regular and legitimate life of the City and not <br />otherwise. <br /> <br />Section 17. PENALTY. <br /> <br /> Every person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed <br />guilty cf a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of <br />not less thanten dollars ($10.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by <br />imprizcnment in the County Jail of the County of Orange, for not more than six months, <br />or by both such fine and imprisonment. Every such person shall be deemed guilty of a <br />separate offense for each and every day during which any of the provisions of this <br />ordinance are violated, and shall be ~unishable therefor as herein provided. <br /> <br /> Sectio~ 18~ Ail ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this <br />ordinance are hereby repealed, provided, however, that Ordinance No. 803 and all <br />ordinances amendatory thereof shall be and remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br /> Section 19. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this <br />ordinance shall be~6und to be unconstitutional or invalid, the~emainder of the <br />ordinance shall not be invalidated thereby but shall remain in full force and effect. <br />The City Council hereby declare that it would have passed this ordinance and each <br />section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase thereof irrespective of the fact that <br />any or more of thesections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases be ~eclared <br />unconstitutional or invalid. <br /> <br /> Section 20. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ,r~inmnce and <br />and cause the same--~be published three (~) times in the Santa Aha Daily Evening <br />Register, a daily newspaper printed, and published and circulated in the City of Santa <br />Aha, and said ordinance shall take effect thirty (~0) days from the date of its final <br />passage. <br /> <br />The foregoing ordinance is approved this 16thday of June, 1950. <br /> <br /> F.
