<br />AN ORDINANCE A}.~NDING ORDINANCE NO. 972, REGULATING
<br />THE CLOSING HOURS OF THE OFFICES OF THE CITY ILILL.
<br />
<br /> The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana ordains as follows:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 972, reading as follows:
<br />
<br /> "Section 3. Ail offices in the City ttall, excepting the
<br /> Police Department, in the City of Santa Aha, Orange County,
<br /> State of California, shall be kept open between the hours of
<br /> 8 A.~. and IS o~clock noon, and between the hours of 1 P.M.
<br /> anR 8 P.M. for five ($) days a w'ck, viz., Honday, Tuesday,
<br /> Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, legal holidays excepted."
<br />
<br /> is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br />
<br /> "Section 3. Ail offices in the City Hall, excepting the
<br /> Police Department, in the City of Santa Aha, Orange County,
<br /> State of California, shall be kept open between the hours of
<br /> 8:30 A.~. and 8 P.~. for five days a week, namely, ~onday,
<br /> Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and between the hours
<br /> 8:30 A.N. and 1~ o'clock noon on Saturday, legal holidays
<br /> excepted."
<br />
<br /> Section ~. An emergency is hereby declared to exist, owing to the fact that
<br />in order to carry out an economy program among the employees of the City of Santa Aha,
<br />it has been found necessary to change the hours of the offices of the City Hall, with th~
<br />exception of the Police Department as follows: On ~onday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
<br />and Fridar, the offices of the City Hall, with the exception of tho Police Department,
<br />shall be open from 8:30 A.H. to $ P.~., and on Saturday, from 8:30 A.N. to 12 o~clock
<br />noon, and this ordinance is necessary to carry out said economy program. This ordinanc~
<br />shall therefore take effect iramediately upon its adoption.

<br /> Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and approval of this
<br />ordinance, and cause the same to be nublished three times in the Santa Aha Daily Lvening
<br />Register, a daily newspaper printed and published in the City of Santa Ana, California.
<br />
<br /> The foregoing ordinance is approved this 1Vth day of April,
