ORDINANCE N0~ 101S AN ORDINANCE ~ENDING ORDINANCE NO. 719, ENTITLP~ "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, ESTABLISHING A BUSINESS AND RESIDENCE DISTRICT AND PROHIB~TI~NG"~THE ESTABLISHMENT OR MAINT~ANCE OF CERTAIN BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRIES IN SAID DISTRICT." The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana ordain as follows: SECTION le That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 719, entitled: !'An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana, Establishing a Business and Residence District and Prohibiting the Establishment or Maintenance of Certain Businesses and Industries in said District", is hereby amended so as to exclude therefrom the following described real property situated in the City of Santa Aha, Orange County, State of California, to-wit: Beginning at the intersection of the South line of West First Street with the West line of Bristol Street; thence Westerly along the south line of West First Street to the intorsection of the Westerly line of Townsend Street; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of Townsend Street to the intersection of the Westerly line of Townsend Street with the Southerly line of the Pacific Electric Railway Companyts Right-of-way; thence North- westerly along the Southwesterly line of the said Pacific Electric Railway Company's Right-of-way to its intersection with the South line of Fifth Street; thence Westerly along the South line of Fifth Street to its intersection with the Westerly boundary line of the City of Santa Ana; thence Southwesterly along the Westerly Boundary line of the City of Santa Ana to an angle point in t he said boundary line where the said boundary line turns .Easterly; thence Easterly along the said boundary line to the center line of Sullivan Street; thence Southerly along the center line of Sullivan Street to the center line of Monte Vista Avenue; thence Easterly along the center line of Monte Vista Avenue to the Westerly line of Bristol Street; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of Bristol Street to the point of beginning. .~ECTION .~. That it shall be lawful for any person, firm or corporation, to erec in establish, carry on or maintain with~the residence or business district particularly 8escribed in Section 1 hereof, any oil well or derrick, for the business of drilling or operating for the discovery or production of oil, gas hydrocarbons, or other kindred substances. SECTION Se The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be published three times in the "Santa Aha Daily Evening Register", a daily newspaper printe~ and published in the City of Santa Ana, California, and thirty (~0) days after its final passage the same shall take effect and be in force.
