(B) At least one 110 volt convenience outlet shall be installed in <br /> <br /> kitchen behind the stove location. <br /> <br /> (C) All letters of signs must be illuminated. All signs must be ten <br /> (10) feet above the sidewalk. All signs running parallel with the <br /> building must not extend out more than twelve (12) inches from the face <br /> of the building. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful to hang or to fix in position any electrical sign <br /> or sign designed for use as an electric sign, or which may be used as <br /> an electric sign, until such sign has been inspected and approved by <br /> the City Electrical Inspector." <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: Said Uniform Electrical Code (1941 Edition) is hereby amended to <br />change certain provisions of said Uniform Electrical Code as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 9 -mub-section A: <br />first and second lines; and <br />Section ll - sub-section D: <br /> <br />Delete the words "woad frame" from the <br />the word "only" from the next to last line. <br />Delete this entire paragraph and require <br /> <br /> installation in accordance with Section 16. <br /> <br /> Section ll - sub-section F: Delete the word "armored" from the second line. <br /> Section 17 - sub-section It first paragraph: Delete the word ~s~parate''~ <br /> from the first line, and add the following clause to the end of the same <br /> sentence: "except combination receptacle and switch in a single outlet box <br /> or combination receptacle and bracket light in a single outlet box, either <br /> of which combination may be supplied from a lighting circuit'". <br /> <br /> Add "or type S fuses" at end of first paragraph. <br /> <br /> Section 17 - sub-section It fourth paragraph: Delete the last sentence <br /> reading "such lighting outlet and switch shall be rated as one outlet~. <br /> Section 17 - sub-section I: Add the following paragraph as #6: "The <br /> number of outlets installed for fixtures, snap switches and convenience <br /> receptacles for each dwelling unit shall be not less than the sum total <br /> calculated as follows: <br /> <br /> a. Bathroom - two outlets. <br /> b. Kitchen - four outlets. <br /> c. Dining room or dining space - three outlets. <br /> d. Living roo~ - four outlets. <br /> e. Each other habitable room - four outlets. <br /> f. Each private hall - two outlets. <br /> Each private foyer - two outlets. <br /> h. Each exterior entrance - one outlet. <br /> i. Utility room - three outlets. <br /> J. Basement (1) in dwellings which do not contain <br /> a utility room - five outlets; (2) in dwellings <br /> which contain a utility room in addition to a <br /> basement - three outlets. <br /> k. Garage - one car, two outlets; two car, three <br /> outlets. Multi-family, two outlets for each <br /> enclosed car stall. <br /> <br /> At least one of the~e outlets shall be installed on a receptacle <br /> circuit in each of the following rooms: Kitchen, dining room, living- <br /> room, other habitable rooms, utility room and basement." <br /> <br /> This section shall cease to be in effect at the termination of the <br /> present war, unless repealed at an earlier date by the City Council <br /> of Santa Ana.
