RESOLUTION NO. 62-221 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF REAL PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF WARNER AVENUE AND MAIN STREET FOR STREET WIDENING WHEREAS, Warner Avenue and South Main Street as they presently exist in the area of their intersection are inadequate for present of future traffic flow. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha does hereby find and declare that public use, benefit, safety, economy and general welfare require that Warner Avenue and Main Street be widened on the Southerly and Westerly sides, respectively, as shown on maps thereof on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and herein referred to for greater detail, to accommodate the demands of traffic, and further require that the City do have, take and acquire an easement for all the purposes of a public street over that certain land in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 1: An easement for street purposes along the South 29 feet of the North 54 feet of the Easterly 322.00 feet of Section 25, in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian. PARCEL 2: An easement for street purposes along the South 147 feet of the West 27 feet of the East 60 feet of the North 201.00 feet of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 25, in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian. Also hereby granting all vehicular access rights to Warner Avenue from the lands lying South of the South line of Parcel 1, except the Easterly 40 feet of the Westerly 52 feet and the Easterly 35 feet of the Westerly 237 feet. Also hereby granting all vehicular access rights to Main Street from the lands lying West of the West line of Parcel 2, excepting the South 38 feet and the North 38 feet of the South 127 feet. PARCEL 3: A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded Northerly by the South line of Parcel 1, bounded Easterly by the West line of Parcel 2 and bounded Southwesterly by the arc of a curve concave Southwesterly and tangent to said Northerly and Easterly boundaries. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: 1. That the City of Santa Ana, California, a municipal corpora- tion, is authorized and empowered to provide for the construction, widening and improving of streets within the City Limits and -1-
