<br /> and requesting the County of Orange to transfer
<br /> to ~he City of Santa Ana, funds allocated therefor"

<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 52-32 and passed by
<br />
<br />the following vote:
<br />

<br /> Milford W. Dahl, Courtney R. Chandler.
<br /> Noes, Trustees None
<br /> Absent, Trustees William Jerome

<br />No written or oral protests having been received, on motion of Trustee

<br />Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br />#A Resolution ordering the Street Superintendent to
<br />abate the public nuisance heretofore declared by
<br />the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, to-wit:
<br />Weeds which bear seeds of a wlngy or downy nature
<br />and attain such a large growth as to become a fire
<br />menace ~hen dry and which are noxious and dangerous,
<br />growing upon certain streets, sidewalks and private
<br />property in the City of Santa Aha, by having the
<br />weeds referred to removed"
<br />
<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 52-33 and passed by
<br />
<br />the following vote:

<br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Daht and carried, the request
<br />
<br />of J. Melvin Roberts for permission to conduct a public dance at the
<br />
<br />American Legion Hall, April 12, 1952, was g~anted.

<br />On motion of Trustee Hun~er, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />
<br />notifications of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage
<br />
<br />applications made by Veterans of Foreign WarS, ~11~ W. ~th St.;
<br />
<br />Floyd M. Phillips, Lewis C. Blanton,and Sherman B. Foster, 220 East
<br />
<br />3rd St.; and.Henry C. Walker, 1525 N. Main St., were received and filed.

<br />On. motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the
<br />
<br />applications of Robert E. Buck and John A. NcCool, to drive taxicabs,
<br />
<br />were received, filed and permits granted.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the request
<br />
<br />of M.L.Peareon, City Treasurer, that Mrs. Mildred Petereen be appointed
<br />
<br />to the position of Assistant City Treasurer, effective May 1, 1952,
<br />
<br />due to the resignation of Mrs. Connie Kelsey, was approved.
