Russell, duly seconded and carried, <br />the following Resolution was adopted: <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, the State of California has, by the California State <br />Operations Plan, designated Orange County as the location for an <br /> <br />Operational Area Organization, which is defined therein as follows: <br /> "An Operational Area organization is an intermediate <br /> unit of the State of California Civil Defense Organi- <br /> zation FOR A WAR-CAUSED STATE OF EXTREME E~ERGENCY, <br /> consisting of a county government and all of the city <br /> governments in the county area; and it is established <br /> for the purpose of coordinating emergency operations <br /> conducted by the several local governments in the <br /> area and to serve as a wartime link in the system <br /> of co~unication and coordination between the regional <br /> emergency operating center and the local governments <br /> con. rising the Operational Area." <br /> <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Board desires to approve such designation and to <br />obtain approval thereof by the County and the various cities in Orange <br />County; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. Said designation by the State of California of Orange County <br />as an "operational Area" under the Civil Defense laws and regulations <br />of California is hcreby approved. <br /> <br /> 2.
