Oommunlcation was read from the Planning Commission recommending dis- approval of Tentative Nap of Tract No. 1608 for the reason that satisfactory provisions for disposition of water from local surface drainage had not been made, or was not in evidence, and no rights-of- way or easements for connecting the proposed sewer lines of the sub- division with the existing city sewerage system were presented, which map represents approximately 46 acres of land bounded on the north roughly by the north bank of Santiago Creek and on the east by North Bristol Street and extending west approximately to the Santa Aha River bed. On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and Tentative Map of Tract No. 1608 wam dissappr~ved. # On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the AdministratOr was instructed to communicate with the County Flood 0ontrol District requesting a w~itten opinion regarding the flood ~azar~t on approximately 46 acres of land bounded on the north roughly by the north bank of Santiago Creek and on the east by North Bristol Street and extending west approximately to the Santa Ana River bed. On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance granted to Allen H. Lester to permit any use allowed in the C-2 ' District, including a general garage, except as to the westerly 25 feet of the parcel, where automobile parking would be allowed and the front yard requirement waived for such parking purpome~, at llil North, Sycamore Street, smbJect to certain conditions. On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance g~anted to Elmer G. Blsk to permit a sign painting business in exist- ing garage on rear of.lot at 2632 W. First Street, subject to certain conditions. # On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance granted to Barhugh Estates to permit four temporary tract sales signs lOIxlO~ in size on Tract No. 1508, which is bounded on the south by Edlnger Street and on the east by Bristol Streets; the signs to be distributed one each on Lots 27, 75, 85 and 88, subject to the conditi that the four signs permitted shall be removed by owner and et his expense within six months from the date that the variance is granted. # On motion of Trustee HcBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance granted to Victor C. Bilverstein to permit four three-room apartments and five garages, at 1714 Jefferson P~ace, subject to certain conditions. ~n
