Huffman <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Burr Huff <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Ge o .Markowit z <br /> <br />In Re <br />Amend .Appl. <br />Emmet C.Rogers etal <br />Reclassify parcels <br />of land btn Bristol <br />& Baker <br /> <br />In Re <br />Tentative Nap <br />Tract 16~3 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the follow- <br />ing Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance amending Santa Aha Municipal <br /> Code by amending Section 3215 and Section <br /> 6331" <br /> <br />reference parking at curb painted green, and, permitting entrance into <br />pool halls by police officers and the general public other than minors <br />under the age of eighteen years, was introduced, read, considered and <br />placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />denied of Mrs. Minnie E. Huffman for permission to build a four-unit <br />apartment on a parcel in the R-2 District known as the north'16.25 <br />feet of Lot 2 and the south 43~75 feet of Lot 3 of Mary Sheffer's <br />Addition, being on the west side of French Street and the north line <br /> <br /> approximately 56 feet south of 15th Street. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recom- <br />mendation o~ the Planning.Commission was approved and variance granted <br />to Bart Huff to permit a reduction in front yard depths in all lots ox <br />Tract No. 1574 excepting Lots 88 to 93 inclusive, and permitting <br />front yard depth of 21 feet on 25 lots; a front yard depth of 22 feet <br />on ~ lots, and a front yard depth of 25 feet on all other lots except- <br /> <br />lng those fronting on Bristol Street and Wilshire Avenue. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recom- <br />mendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance granted <br />to George Markcwitz to permit the making of drapes on special orders <br />from furniture and department stores, without carrying a stock of <br />goods, in an existing residence at 1502 North Ross Street, in <br />the R-3 District, subject to certain conditions. <br /> <br />Communication and Resolution No. 459 of the Planning Commission were <br />read~ reference application of Emmet C. Rogers oral, recommending an <br />amendment to the Municipal Code to reclassify certain parcels of land <br />between Bristol and Baker Streets and lying adjacent to the north of <br />a line approximately 293 feet north of the center line of West 17th <br />Street, from R-1 to R-2 as to a part of the land and from R-1 to R-3 <br />as to a portion abutting Bristol Street. On motion of Trustee Dahl, <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, a notice of public hearing was ordered <br /> <br />published setting date as October 6th, 1952. <br /># <br /> <br />Communication was real from the Planning Commission recommending <br />rejection of Tentative Map of Tract 16~3, which tract represents a <br />proposed subdivision of Lot 4, Plaza R~ncho, consisting of approximate <br />9 acres adjoining the south line of Willits Street, and is bounded on <br />the south by the city limits line and on the east by a line approx- <br />imately 660 feet west of the center line of Bristol Street, because <br />of the lack of drainage and due to street design. On motion of <br />Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the recommendation of <br />~he Planning Commission was accepted and Tentative Map of Tract 16~3 <br />rejected. <br /> <br /> <br />
