F~uehling and Roy Greenleaf, Jr., which Tract represents a parcel <br /> approximately 360' x 250' adjoining the south line of East Fourth <br /> Street in the vicinity of Linwood Avenue, subject to the condition <br /> that the drainage plan is satisfactory to the City Engineer. On <br /> motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the reoommend~ <br /> ation of the Planning Commission was accepted and Revised Tentative <br /> Map of Tract 1630 approved subject to condition as set forth by the <br /> <br /> Planning Commission. <br /> ,, <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, Map <br /> Tract No. 1572 and bond submitted by Emmet C. Rogers crux, in the sum <br /> of $7,000~00 were approved and ~fficials authorized to sign Map cover- <br /> lng improvements of Bristol, 18th, 19th, Louise and Baker Streets. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, Map <br /> Tract No. 1~59 and bond submitted by Charles W. Nester etux, in the <br /> sum of $50,000.00 were approved and offlclals authorized to sign Map <br /> covering improvements of Seventeenth, Fairmont, Dorman, Oakmont Place <br /> <br /> and Lincoln Avenue. <br /> # <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, Civil <br />Service Board Minutes dated AugUst 13, 1952, Minutes of the Executive <br />Board of the Joint Outfall Sewer dated September 4, 1952, and Juvenile: <br />Bureau report for the month of AugUst, were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the City <br />Attorney was inst~ucted to prepare a letter to the Izaak Walton LeaEue~ <br />for their signature, giving their consent for drainage on Tract No. <br />1608 to drain across land owned by the City and leased by the Club, <br />which property is approximately 46 acres of land bounded on the north <br />by Santiago Creek and on the east by North Bristol Street and extend- <br />ing west to the Santa Aha River bed. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce extend~ <br />lng an invitation to the 0ouncil to attend the annual convention of <br />the American Municipal Association in Los Angeles on December l, 2, 3, <br />1952, and on motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried <br />the communication was received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Orange County Farm Bureau extending an: <br />invitation to the Council to attend a luncheon given in honor of a <br />group of leading agriculturists from Mexico, on October 13th, at the <br />Community Center, and requesting use of one of the two dining halls <br />free of charge. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, the request was denied and the Bureau so notified. <br /> <br />It was moved by Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, that a <br />communication be directed to the Public Utilities Commission giving <br />the reasons for opposing the installation of automatic crossing gates <br />at the Santa Fe Railroad on First Street and on Fourth Street, as the <br />experience of the City has been that when manually operated crossing <br /> <br /> <br />
