Greenwald oral, recommending <br />an amendment to the Municipal Code to reclassify from R-2 Residential <br />District to the C-2 General Commercial District, a parcel of land 150 <br />feet deep along the south side of West First Street between Baker and <br />Bristol Streets, the parcel being described as the east 550 fees of <br />the north 150 feet of Lot 1 of Tract No. 905. On motion of Trustee <br />Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, a notice of public hearing was <br /> <br />ordered published setting date as November 3rd, 1952. <br /># <br /> <br />Communication was read from Republican Central Committee of Orange <br />County requesting permission to install and maintain a booth on the <br />street for the purpose of making available to the public campaign <br />literature, brochures, bumper stickers, buttons and other materials to <br />promote and otherwise work in behalf of the Republican candidates on <br />both national and local levels. On motion of T~ustee Hunter, seconde~ <br />by McBride and carried, the Administrator was authorized to permit any <br />political organizations to provide such equipment on the streets <br /> <br />between now and November Sth election. <br />,, <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, s ~conded by McBride and carried, Map Tract <br />No. 1315 submitted by Honer Development Company was approved and <br />officials authorized to sign Map covering dedication of 19th and Olive <br />Streets. Bond was not submitted as improvements were completed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, Map <br />Tract No. 1658 and bond submitted by Floyd B. Rogers, in the sum of <br />$8,500.00 were approved and officials authorized to sign Map covering <br />dedication of Poinsettia Street and Edgewood Road. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, Purchasing <br />Agent and Audltor~s statement of receipts, disbursements and fund <br />balances for August, reports of the Building Department, Judge~s Offic. <br />and Police Department, for the month of September, were received and <br /> <br />filed. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> <br />Minutes of the Executive Committee of the Joint Outfall Sewer held <br /> <br />at Anaheim, September tSth, were approved. <br /># <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Dahl, <br />seconded by McBride and carried, the bid of R.J.Noble Company was <br />accepted for the furnishing of 900 tons of plant-mixed surfacing at <br />$2.86 per ton and contract entered into; all other bids rejected and <br />the low bid of John J. Swigart Co. rejected on the basis of no bid <br />bond. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Ds/al, <br />seconded by McBride and carried, the bid of Sully-Miller Contracting <br />Company was accepted for the furnishing, delivery and spreading wi/th <br />Barber Greene spreader at $3.09 per ton and contract entered' into; <br />all other bids rejected and the low bid of John J. Swigart Co. reJectea <br />on the basis of no bid bond. <br /> <br /> <br />
