<br />On motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, the
<br />demands as audited by She Finance Committee were approved and Clerk
<br />
<br />authorized to issue warrants for same.

<br />Communication wac read from the 20-30 Club of Santa Aha requesting
<br />use of the Municipal Bowl to stage the annual Donkey Circus, to be
<br />held sometime in June. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by
<br />McBride and carried, permission was granted and a minimum charge to
<br />
<br />be made for use of the Bowl, as of the date of performance.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the
<br />matter of the minimum rental for use of the Municipal Bowl was referrer
<br />to the Administrator, Park Superintendent and Auditor for review and
<br />
<br />recommendation at the next meeting.

<br />Communication was read from L.B.Ward, 2406 North Baker Street, reques~
<br />
<br />lng information as to when the City Pound will be moved to a more
<br />suitable location, and on motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl
<br />
<br />and carried, the communication was received and filed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />Administrator was instructed to write a letter of explanation to
<br />L.B.Ward, 2406 North Baker Street, advising him of the reasons for
<br />
<br />the delay in moving the City Pound to a more suitable location.
<br />.
<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Mayor
<br />wac authorized to sign escrow instructions from Earl S. and Evelyn E.
<br />Young, for the acceptance of an easement deed for street purposes, on
<br />
<br />Halladay Street north of. Dyer Road.

<br />Communication was read from Willis H. Warner, Coordinator Area X,
<br />Region 9, extending an invitation to the Council and to Xey City
<br />people in Civil Defense to hear Dr. John Beeston, Associate Professor
<br />of Public Health, UCLA, at meeting to be held February 9th at the
<br />Santa Ana High School, and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by
<br />
<br />Jerome and carried, the communication was received and filed.

<br />Communication was read from the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph
<br />Company advising that arrangements have been completed to turn over
<br />to the City approximately 34,381 duct feet of their underground
<br />conduit system which le to be used in connection with the new Fire
<br />Alarm System, and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and
<br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to write a letter of appreciation
<br />
<br />to the Telephone Company for turning over the equipment to the City.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by ~erome and carried, the request
<br />of Jerry Whitehead for permission to conduct a public dance on Sunday
<br />February 22nd, 1953, at the American Legion Hall, was referred to the
<br />Chief of Police.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the Mayor
<br />was authorized to execute escrow instructions from Enrique and Leornor
<br />Campos, for the purchase Of the entire parcel, being approximately
<br />5.15 a0ree located on the south side of Delhi Road east of the Delhi
<br />
<br /> School~ for the approximate sum of $18,761.00.
