Diggs <br /> (Planning Consultant) <br /> <br />taxicabs, were received and pe~mits granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the report <br />on the Pound, for the month of January, 1953, was received and filed. <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the demands <br />as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk authorized <br />to issue warrants for same. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, proper <br />officials were authorized to execute agreement dated February 16, 1953,i <br />between the City and the County of Orange, for the care of ~tray dogs. <br />It was recommended by the City Administrator and moved by Trustee Dahl,~: <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, that the City of Santa Ana enter into <br />an employment contract with Charles H. Co. <br />Mosquito Abatement <br />District <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Earl Kenneth Wood, <br />First Methodist Church <br />(*amblln= in the City) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Instructions to <br />Clerk -($ommunicatlon <br />to Earl Kenneth Wood) <br /> <br />and officials authorized to sign Map covering improvements consisting <br />of sewers, sidewalks, curbs and streets on 10th, llth and 12th between ! <br />King and English Streets. <br /> <br />Communication from Secretary Orange County Mosquito Abatement District, <br />together with December 1952 activity report were read and on motion of <br />Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the communication and <br />report were received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Earl Kenneth Wood, Chairman Civic Affairs <br />Committee, First Methodist Church with reference to gambling being <br />conducted in the City and to the suspension of four Police Officers by <br />the Chief of Police, and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter <br />and carried, the communication was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Clerk <br />was instructed to direct a communication to Mr. Earl Kenneth Wood, <br />Chairman, Civic Affairs Committee, First Methodist Church, that the <br />matter of the suspension of the four Police Officers by the Chief of <br /> <br />Police is before the Civil Service Commission and a hearing date will bs <br />set at which time all phases of the suspension will be fully investigat~d <br />and discussed; also, the matter has been brought to the attention of <br />the Grand Jury, and is beyond the province of the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
