SCOPE OF SERVICES AND BUDGET <br />The services to be provided are as follows. <br />Task 1: Community Workshops <br />This task provides for a total of three (3) community workshops. Additional work in this task consists of <br />formatting workshop materials in Khmer and Vietnamese based on translations provided by the City. <br />Up to eight (8) members of the MIG team will attend each workshop session, with at least one bilingual <br />Spanish speaker. The MIG team will provide two Spanish interpreters, and the City will provide Khmer and <br />Vietnamese interpreters. <br />Task 2: Business Community Workshop <br />The MIG team will prepare for and conduct two in -person workshops for the business community. The <br />first will be targeted to small, local business owners and the second to larger, corporate -style businesses. <br />Each workshop will last approximately two hours and will focus on highlighting objectives for the Zoning <br />Code update program. Activities will be structured to solicit input from participants regarding their ideas <br />for issues to be addressed via the update. The workshops may include breakout sessions. The City will be <br />responsible for advertising the workshop and providing any refreshments. For the first workshop, the MIG <br />team will conduct a focused, grassroots outreach effort to identify and encourage local business owners to <br />attend. This will include multi-lingual outreach and door-to-door canvassing. For each workshop, the MIG <br />team will prepare a flyer in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese using translation provided by the City for <br />Spanish and Vietnamese. Up to two rounds of review are assumed. <br />The presentation will be prepared in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese, with the City providing translation <br />of the materials in Vietnamese to the MIG team. The City will be <br />responsible for providing any needed interpreters at the workshop. <br />Up to six (6) members of the MIG team will attend the business workshop session, with at least one bilingual <br />Spanish speaker. <br />Task 3: StoryMaps <br />Using the materials already produced for the first workshop series (in English, Spanish, Khmer, and <br />Vietnamese), MIG will create an interactive StoryMaps version of the workshop. The City will provide a <br />link to the StoryMaps site, hosted by MIG, on the City's project webpage. The City will be responsible for <br />promoting the StoryMaps site via its social media and other platforms. <br />The StoryMaps workshop will be interactive, posing the same questions to participants previously <br />presented at the in -person workshops. For station 4 (changes within the focus areas), we will develop an <br />exercise analogous to the block activity. <br />City staff will review the draft StoryMaps website (in English) and provide comments to MIG. MIG will <br />incorporate those comments, with City staff providing one final review (two rounds total). Once the <br />website language and images have been approved, MIG will work with translators hired by MIG to prepare <br />
