On motion of T~ustee Hunter, <br /> seconded by Dahl and carried, the request was referred to the <br /> <br /> Administrator for investigation and report at a later date. <br /> # <br /> <br />Communication was read from Public Works Office, Eleventh Naval Distri¢ <br />stating that the Government wishes to enter into an agreement witk the <br />City to construct a fuel oil line between the U.S.Air Force fuel oll <br />storage depot No. 2 at Norwalk, and the Marine Corps Air Station, <br /> <br />E1 Toro in order to supply fuel for'the operation of aircraft at the <br />Marine Co~ps Air Station,'and that the pipeline approaches Santa Ana <br />in the right-of-way of the Santa Ana branch of the Southern Pacific <br />Railway leaving the Southern Pacific right-of-way at 17th Street and <br />proceeding easterly on l?th Street, a distance of approximately 5858 <br />feet to the easterly city limits of Santa Aha. On motion of Trustee <br />Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Administrator and Engineer <br />were directed to ~ite a lette~' to Earl G. Dobbins, Commander, CRC, <br />USN, Acting District-Public Works Officer, advising that sometime in <br />the month of November the City Engineer suggested an altePnat6 route <br />be used and the use of such'possible alternate route to be exhausted; <br />the City not being in favor of a fuel line ~unning through Santa Aha <br /> <br />and a copy of the letter ordered sent to Congressman James Utt. <br />,, <br />Communication was ~ead from Division of Highways acknowledging ~eceipt <br />of certified copy of Resolution No. 53-38 requesting that the freeway <br />agreement now in e~fect covering construction on the Santa Ana Freeway, <br />Road VII-Ora-174-SA, be revised to provide for the construction of a <br />grade separated t~affic interchange at the northerly extension of <br />Bristol Street connecting with the westerly extension of La Veta <br />Avenue, and advising that studies will be started immediately on this <br />~evision to determine the best method by which it may be accomplished. <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the com- <br /> <br />munication was reeeived and filed. <br /># <br />Communication was read from Thomas Cosgrove requesting a price adjust- <br />ment in the prospective purchase of the city owned strip of land <br />adjoining his property on North Main Street at Santa Clama Avenue, and <br />on motion of Trustee Hunte~, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br /> <br />Administrator-was authorized to continue negotiations with Mr. Cos <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
