In Re <br />Protest <br />Amalia A. Eastman <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Mrs.E.M.Goddard <br /> (stop sign, etc.) <br /> <br />Communication was read from Amalia A. Eastman protesting the ruling <br />that pruned branches be cut up small enough to tie or to fit into <br />boxes and on motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, <br /> <br />the matter was referred to the Administrator for reply. <br /># <br /> Communication was read from Mrs. E.M.Goddard, 708 West 8th St., <br />requesting that a boulevard stop sign be installed on Broadway at 8thi <br />or that a red curb for at least two car lengths be established in <br />front of the office building located on the north side of 8th St., an <br /> <br />that a "slow" sign be painted on the pavement on 8th Street at Parten~ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> <br />request was referred to the Administrator, Engineer and Chief of <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Jasper Farney <br /> (40 ft. approach) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />John O. Haley <br /> (set-back line on <br /> ~istol from 17th <br />to Memory Lane) <br /> <br />Police. <br /># <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the request <br />of Jasper Farney for a forty foot approach to the eight-family apart- <br />ment building on the corner of Vance and Minter Streets, was referred <br />to the City Engineer for report and recommendation at the next meeting. <br />Communication was read from John O. Haley requesting that a set-back <br />line be established on Bristol Street from 17th Street to Memory Lane <br />before the plans are approved for the subdivision or any improvements <br />made. On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of <br /> <br />Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the request was <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Mrs. G.R.Dorfsmith <br /> (loading zone) <br /> <br />denied for the reason that two subdivisions have been approved and <br />curb constructed within the city limits, and Mr. Haley so notified. <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />request of Mrs. G.R.Dorfsmith, 520 E. 4th Street, that a loading <br />be established in front of their shop for the convenience of trdeks <br /> <br />loading and unloading, was referred to the Administrator, Engineer <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />S.J.Francis, D.C. <br /> (loading zone,etc.) <br /> <br />and Chief of Police. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />request of S.J.Francis, D.C., 214 South Broadway, that a fifty-foot <br />~cading zone be established immediately in front of his office and <br /> <br />that a two-hour parking zone be established for the 200 block South <br />Broadway, was referred to the Administrator, Engineer and Chief of <br /> <br />In Re <br />Agreement <br />Coca-Cola Bottling Co. <br /> (Morrison's Market) <br /> <br />Police. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />request of Coca-Cola Bottling Company on behalf of Morrison's Market, <br />for permission to install a sign at 812 East First Street, which will <br /> <br />In Re <br />Reports <br /> <br />extend over and upon the five foot set-back l~ne, was granted and <br />officials authorized to execute an agreement provided the Company <br />signs an affidavit that the sign will be remove~ without cost and at <br /> <br />the request of the City. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter. and carried, the <br />reports of the Building Department and Police Department for the <br /> <br />In Re <br />Beverage <br />Application <br /> <br />month of March, 1953, were received and filed. <br /># <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the <br />notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage <br />application made by Nick B. and Peter B. Pappas, 216 West Third Street, <br /> <br />was received and filed. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
