NeClure to d~lve taxicabs, <br /> were received and permits g~anted. <br /> <br /> 6n motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the <br /> demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and the <br /> <br /> authorized to issue warrants for same. <br /> # <br /> Communication was read from the County Clerk advising that the City of <br /> Santa Aha is indebted to the County in the amount of $912.00 by reason <br /> 'of the consolidation of the Santa Ana City propositions with the <br /> November 5, 1952 General Election, which charge is based on the <br /> adopted by th~ Board of Supervisors, Narch 25, 1953. On motion of <br /> Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the matter was <br /> to the City Attorney for report at the next meeting as to the legality <br /> <br /> of the charge. <br /> # <br /> Communioati6n was read from Edward A. Niller, N.D. 309 W. 8th Street, <br /> <br /> requesting that a wi~its zone be established in front of his office <br /> and on motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the' <br /> request was referred to the Administrator, Engineer and Chief of Polio. <br /> with inst~uotione to contact Dr. Miller in an effort to establish <br /> off-street parking. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from the Pastor of the Johnson Chapel A.N.E. <br /> Church requesting permission to solicit funds from the public for a <br /> period of thirty days and on motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by <br /> and carried, the request was referred to the City Attorney for an <br /> <br /> appropriate reply. <br /> ,, <br /> Communication was read from the Admini~trator, Fire Chief and Chief <br /> Building Inspector advising that the new Headquarters Fire Station <br /> building is complete in every manner and has the final approval of the <br /> Building Department and recommending that the building be accepted by <br /> the City Council.
