NeClure to d~lve taxicabs, were received and permits g~anted. 6n motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and the authorized to issue warrants for same. # Communication was read from the County Clerk advising that the City of Santa Aha is indebted to the County in the amount of $912.00 by reason 'of the consolidation of the Santa Ana City propositions with the November 5, 1952 General Election, which charge is based on the adopted by th~ Board of Supervisors, Narch 25, 1953. On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the matter was to the City Attorney for report at the next meeting as to the legality of the charge. # Communioati6n was read from Edward A. Niller, N.D. 309 W. 8th Street, requesting that a wi~its zone be established in front of his office and on motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the' request was referred to the Administrator, Engineer and Chief of Polio. with inst~uotione to contact Dr. Miller in an effort to establish off-street parking. Communication was read from the Pastor of the Johnson Chapel A.N.E. Church requesting permission to solicit funds from the public for a period of thirty days and on motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by and carried, the request was referred to the City Attorney for an appropriate reply. ,, Communication was read from the Admini~trator, Fire Chief and Chief Building Inspector advising that the new Headquarters Fire Station building is complete in every manner and has the final approval of the Building Department and recommending that the building be accepted by the City Council. On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the communication was received, filed and the building accepted a~ of twelve noon, Friday, April 10, 1953. # On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and oa~pled, the reque~ of the Postmaster' that twenty-minute zones be established on the north side of W. 17th Street, in order to accommodate the parking of ~ix or eight cars, at' the Floral Park Post Office, was referred to the Administrator, Engineer and Chief of Police. # On motion of T~u~tee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the request of Colonel B.F.O'Nelll, U.S. Narine Co~ps fo~ permission to place placards on the light standards through the Santa Aha business advertising the appearance of the Clyde Beatty Circus at the Air Station, April' 21, 1953, was g~anted subject to the condition that the City Engineer be contacted as to plaolng of these placards, and Colon.
