Edward Hall, representing 19 property owners <br /> stated their reasons for favoring the recommendation of the Commlssion!~ <br /> but objected to industrial development south of the area. Colonel <br /> Ntllard, 1329 Orange Avenue, complimented the Planning Commission on <br /> its recommendation to retain this southeast 'section for residential <br /> development. The Clerk read petition presented by F~re. Ann Millard, <br /> containing names of 53 property owners protesting the rezoning of any <br /> property north of Delhi Road in ~the southeast section for industrial <br /> purposes. The petition was ordered filed. L.J.LeRoy, Industrial <br /> .Agent, Santa Fe Railway Co., gave his reasons for favoring industrial <br /> zoning of the section south of Chestnut Street along the Santa Fe <br /> Railroad on the easterly side of the track and the extension of the <br /> new Freeway. E.A.Neredith, 2130 Park Drive, agreed with the statemen~ <br /> made by Mr. LeRoy. John W. Herndon, Chairman of Industrial Committee <br /> of the Chamber of Commerce, was of the opinion that recommendations <br /> of the Planning Commission were excellent. On motion of Councilman <br /> McBride, seconded by Lateen and carried, the matter of Area "B", belngl <br /> designated for residential development, was taken under advisement for! <br /> further consideration. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending <br /> approval of Tentative Nap cf T~act No. 1825, submitted by Park Lane ~. <br /> Estates covering property bounded on. the north by Memory Lane and on <br /> the east by Flower Street, and as recommended by the Division of High-li <br /> ways. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried!~ <br /> the recommendation of the Planning Commission w~s approved subject to <br /> the following conditions: That all streets be 60 feet and the main <br /> entrance to the subdivision be located at Lowell Lane; that the right-i <br /> of-way line be located 50 feet from the existing center llne of Memory!i <br /> <br /> Lane and front yard requirements be 25 feet within the Tract. <br /># <br /> On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, Nap <br /> of Tract No, 1786, submitted by Emmet C. Rogers, for the dedication of <br /> Baker Street and 21st Street, for highway purposes, was approved and <br /> officials authorized to sign same, when improvements are completed. <br /> On motion of Council~n Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution granting a Variance on an application <br /> after the Planning Commission recommended denial" <br /> <br /> in connection with variance application of Oliver Z. Huseth to permit <br /> use of the living room in the existing residence at 1323 West Edinger <br /> as a dry cleaning and tailoring agency, to be operated by Mrs. Donna <br /> <br /> <br />
