<br /> Clerk was instructed to write a letter to R.K.McLean, M.D. advising
<br /> that the matter of a new City Library is in the hands of the Planning

<br /> Communication was read from the Director of Public Works advising
<br /> that 'improvements within the boundaries of Tract No. 1573 have been
<br /> completed, and on motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome
<br /> ~nd carried, bond filed by Harkis Homes, Inc., in the sum of $13
<br />
<br /> was ordered released.

<br /> that improvements within the boundaries of Tract No. 1559 have been
<br /> completed, and on motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome
<br /> and carried, bond filed by Charles W. Hester etux, in the sum of
<br /> $50,000.00, was ordered released.

<br /> Communication was read from the Director of Public Works advising
<br /> that improvements within the boundaries of Tract No. 1529 have been
<br /> completed, and 'on motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome
<br /> carried, bond filed by Maray Construction Corporation, in the sum of
<br />
<br /> $70,000.00, was ordered released.

<br />requests of %he Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 1680 to sell poppie~
<br /> on May 22nd and 23rd,'American Legion Auxiliary Unit 131 on May 22nd
<br /> and 23rd and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Santa Ana Memorial Post

<br /> 7140 on May 22nd thru May 30th, were granted.

<br /> Communication was read from the Principal, Edison School, 2063 Orange
<br /> Avenue, requesting that an additional cross-walk be placed near the
<br /> school for the safety of %he children, and on motion of Councilman
<br /> Larsen, seconded by MCBride and carried, the request was referred to
<br /> the CityNanager, Director of Public Works and the Chief of Police
<br />
<br /> for recommendation and report at the next meeting.

<br /> Communication was read from T.G.Burnett, 1045 West Bishop Street,
<br /> petition signed by fifty-six residents in the vicinity of Lowell Schoc
<br /> requesting that a four-way stop sig~ be installed at the corner of
<br /> Bishop and Shelton Streets. On motion of Councilman McBride,
<br /> by Larsen and carried, the matter was referred to the City Manager,
<br /> Director o~ Public Works and the Chief of Police for recommendation
<br />
<br /> and report at the next meeting.
