Shelley Sivak, RA, LEED AP, Lead Architect
Shelley Sivak is a forward -thinking architect who brings form to buildings and interior
spaces and new life to both urban and suburban settings, to create a strong sense of
place. She takes a holistic approach and considers key capacity to recognize the specific
demands of a particular location and tailors the design process to be efficient and
productive.
Years with IDS Group, Inc.
■ 3
Education
■ Master of Architecture, California Polytechnic University, Pomona
• Bachelor of Science, Design, Arizona State University
Professional Credential
■ Professional Architect: CA (#C-33767)
• LEED Accredited Professional
Project Experience with the City of Anaheim:
• Melrose Space Planning
Relevant Project Experience:
• City of Anaheim Melrose Space Planning: Project Architect providing office space planning and architectural
services to the city's Facilities Services Division. Scope of work includes documenting field condition, preparing
two (2) space planning options, client meetings to discuss preferred design option, and providing a final space
plan.
■ Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), Los Angeles, CA: Metro requires a Tier 1,
Tier 2 and Conditions Assessment at nine (9) Metro parking garages to be completed within a 10-week time
frame. As Project Manager, Shelly worked with the Agency and in-house IDS team to ensure project objectives
and goals were met. Scope included site visits, pre -assessment, data collection, review of as-builts, identification
of short- and long-term needs, cost analysis, and facility evaluation reports.
• Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), Recycling -Repair Yard Relocation, Los Angeles, CA: To make way for the
Taxiway D Extension project at LAX, an existing Airport Maintenance Yard required relocation from the north
side of World Way West to the south side. This yard included an existing but un-permitted steel roof canopy
structure to be relocated. IDS developed a material testing program (based on ASCE 41 procedures) necessary
to obtain a building permit for the relocated canopy structure for the recycling sorting area. Expedited project
design and construction was required. Shelley worked with the in-house structural, electrical, and civil
engineering teams to redesign the masonry wall/bunkers for storage of sand and gravel, canopy, storage racks
and container.
• Municipal Water District of Orange County Facility Upgrade, Fountain Valley, CA: Shelley was the Project
Manager and Interior Designer. Project scope -of -work included space planning, structural upgrades, interior
fixtures, and finishes.
