Rowland stating the <br />reasons for not submitting a bid.. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the bid <br /> <br />and the letter were referred to the Manager and Park Superintendent <br /> <br />In Re <br />Bids <br />Automatic parking <br />me, ers <br /> <br />for report, <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />Clerk was authorized to open bids for the furnishing of 120 single <br />unit automatic par~ing meters, as follows: <br /> <br />Bid of D~ncan Parking Meter Corporation: <br />120 or more parking meters at a unit <br />price of $51.06 <br />Less allowance for used meters at a <br />unit price of 7.50 <br />Net cost after allowance 43.56 <br />Additional meters under same terms will <br />be furnished at the above price until <br />June 30, 19~, at the option of the <br />City. <br />Delivery will be completed not more than <br />forty-five days after award. <br />Bid is for parking meter heads only on a <br />cash basis, which reflects a $2.29 per unit <br />discount and does not include the sales tax. <br />If the City chooses to purchase standards <br />and bell bases, add $2,25 for the standard <br />and $.?5 for each base, plus sales tax. <br />City can elect to pay for the meters out of <br />the receipts by paying $2.00 per meter per <br />month. <br /> <br />Bid of Pacific Union Metal Oompany: <br />120 or more parking meters ~t a unit <br />price of $52.00 <br />Less allowance for used meters at a <br />unit price of 10.0o <br />Net cost after allowance 42.00 <br />Additional meters under same terms will <br />be furnished at the above price until <br />June 30, 1954, at the option cf the <br />City. <br />Delivery will be completed not more than <br />thirty days after award. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the bids: <br /> <br />were referred to the l~anager and Purchasing Agent for report at this <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Walter E. Tipton would fit in this zone. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br /> <br />petition was received and filed. On motion of Councilman Jerome, <br /> <br />seconded by Larsen and carried, the recommendation of the Planning <br /> <br />Commission was approved and variance granted to Walter E. Tipton to <br />permit the remodeling of the existing residence at ?02 East 17th Stree~ <br /> <br />into a real estate office, subject to the condition as imposed by the <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Baker Development <br />Co. <br /> <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Baker Development Company for development of Lots 1, 2, 3 <br />and 4, of Tract No. 2018, located at 1515 East l?th Street, into <br />duplexes. <br /> <br /> <br />
