WHEREAS, DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF CALI- <br />FORNIA, and MANUEL R. MEDRANO and AURORA V. MEDRANO have executed <br />a deed dated March 16, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for <br />street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, east of Fairview <br />Street, in consideration of the sum of $1,135.00 and certain remedial <br />work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through <br />Escrow No. 874037-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust <br />Company, Santa Ana, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS OF THE STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA, and JUAN IBARRA and FRANCISCA VALDEZ IBARRA have executed <br />a deed dated March 19, 1966, conveying to the City an easement for <br />street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, west of Hawley <br />Street, in consideration of the sum of $1,100.00 and certain remedial <br />work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through <br />Escrow No. 874004-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust <br />Company, Santa Ana, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore, by Resolution 66-38, Paragraph 1, the <br />City accepted a deed from ARCADIO P. LOPEZ and JENNIE S. LOPEZ for <br />certain real property at the southwest corner of Eighth Street and <br />English Street, which said deed contained an error in the description <br />and which said action should be rescinded and a new deed dated <br />April 12, 1966, containing the corrected description of the property <br />being conveyed, should be accepted and the amended Escrow instructions <br />executed; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 873638- <br />hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, <br />California; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby <br />authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa <br />Ana accepts said deeds and rescinds the acceptance of the deed from <br />ARCADIO P. LOPEZ and JENNIE S. LOPEZ as authorized by Resolution <br />66-38; and Carl J.
