Commission <br />Vacate street ease- <br />ment, portion of <br />Greenleaf St. bin <br />Santa Clara and <br />Bonnie Brae <br /> <br />to the other requirements as set forth in the variance, the expiration <br />date of the bond be set as the date of recording of the notice of <br /> <br />completion on constr,~ction of duplex and improvements. <br />. <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to William Harper to permit property located at 406 East <br />Washington Avenue to be used in the practice of physical therapy, <br /> <br />subject to certain conditions as imposed by the Commission. <br /># <br /> <br />Communications were read from the Planning Commission recommending <br />that a variance be g~anted George Williams to permit erection of a <br />single story stucco building, about 40~ x 40' in size, with a l0~ <br />driveway, along either side, and a parking area in rear, all black- <br />topped, for the purpose of operating the business of sales and <br />service of radio, television and similar electronic equipment, and <br />from the Assistant Director of Public Works stating that in conform- <br />ance with proposed set-back Ordinanc6 on West First Street, it is <br />recommended the front of building be set no closer than 40 feet to <br />sure, eyed center line. On motion of Councilman Jerome, s~conded by <br />Larsen and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was <br />approved and variance g~anted, subject to the set-back of $0 feet from <br /> <br />the surveyed center line. <br /># <br />Communication and Resolution No. 567-A of the Planning Commission <br />were read on the application of Lois Michaels, recommending the <br />reclassification of an area approxima=ely 2.65 acres in size, located <br />on the south side of 17th Street between Fairmont and Lincoln Streets, <br />described as the east 15 fe~t of Block 16 and all of Block 21 of the <br />Town of San~a Ana East, from the R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-1 <br />District. Communication was read from Assistant Director of Public <br />Works stating that construction of cumb and sidewalks, paving out to <br />existing paving 'on 17th Street and Lincoln Avenue and cons truction of <br />sidewalks on Dorman Street, are needed in order to bring it up to <br />present city standards. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by <br />Larsen and carried, a notice of public hearing was ordered published <br /> <br />setting date of hearing as January 18th, 195$. <br />,, <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br />communication from the Planning Commission approving the proposed <br />procure'ment and dedication of approximately 10 acres, lying west of <br />Bristol Street, for the purpose of development of public park <br />immediately adjacent to proposed Elementary School site, was received <br />and filed. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, ~he matter was referred to ~he Council and Manager, as a <br /> <br />committee, to investigate the possibility of purchase of the property. <br /># <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />communication from the Planning Commission stating there is no object- <br />tion to the vacation of certain street easement which is a portion Of <br />Greenleaf Street between Santa Clara Avenue and Bonnie Brae, was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
