Albert etal) <br /> <br /> and concrete cross gutters be installed, and that street paving shall <br /> have 6" gravel base and 2~" plant mix surface. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from Emmet C. Rogers requesting that the City <br /> pay the cost of the difference between the regular paving and the <br /> extra heavy paving required on North Bristol Street, a distance of <br /> 275 feet ex~ending northerly from the north line of Lot 18 of Tract <br /> No. 1739, and information as to whether the City will require a <br /> standard curb or integral curb and gutter. On motion of Councilman <br /> Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the Manager was directed to <br /> advise Mr. Rogers that the City will pay the difference between the <br /> regular paving and the extra heavy paving required on Bristol Street, <br /> <br /> and that concrete curb and gutter will be required. <br /> . <br />Communication was read from the Board of Education advising that the <br />Board is in the process of purchasing two parcels of land for the <br />purpose of erecting a Junior High School, which land consists of forty <br />acres located on West Edinger Street Just west of the City of Santa Ana <br />boundaries and requesting that the City take necessary steps to annex <br />the property. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to write the Board of Education <br />requesting that two copies of Record of Survey on the property be furn- <br />ished so that the City may submit the matter to the County Boundary <br />Commission and the City Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />claim of Gertrude Jones, in an undetermined amount, for alleged <br />injuries sustained when she fell on the sidewalk in front of 1515-17 <br /> <br />North Ross Street, was referred to the Attorney and Insurance Carrier. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Larsen, <br />request of the Camellia Society <br />hang a banner across the street <br /> <br />seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> <br />of Orange County for permission to <br />near the Y.W.C.A. Building at 1411 North <br /> <br />Broadway, February 7th, was denied. <br /> " Chief of the <br />Communication was read from t~.e/Sierra Madre Fire Department express- <br /> <br />ing appreciation for the invaluable assistance and aid rendered during <br />the recent mountain fire and on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded <br />by Dahl and carried, the communication was received and filed. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on <br />motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br />following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance amending Santa Aha Municipal Code <br />by amending Article IX thereof creating changes <br />in district boundaries and by amending Sheets <br />Numbered 23 and 26 of the Districting Map to <br />show the reclassification" <br /> <br />was considered, designated Ordinance No. NS-22 and passed by the <br />following vote: · <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br />Thomas F.
