No. 5~-!1 <br />Author. amendment <br />to contract - State <br />Employeest Retirement <br />System <br /> <br />In Re <br />Certificate of <br />Clerk - Parking <br />District <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Market Basket, Inc. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Board of EducAtion <br /> (loading zone, <br />pedestrian zones, <br /> <br />etc.) <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. <br /> limitations and <br /> anco therewith" <br /> <br />establishing a green zone <br />Third and Fourth Streets, <br />was considered and passed <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br /> Noes, Councilmen <br /> Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman <br /> <br />was continued until the <br /> <br />54-10 concerning parking <br />curb markings in accord- <br /> <br />on the west side of Bristol Street between <br /> <br />in accordance with the request of Tony Luna, <br /> <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br />Thomas F. Larsen, Milford W. <br />Courtney R. Chandler. <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Dahl, <br /> <br />Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, action <br /> <br />next meeting on Resolution approving an <br /> <br />agreement relating to the granting of permission to Orange County <br />Sanitation District No. 6 and the Midway City Sanitary District to <br />connect their sewage disposal system and lines to the trunk sewer <br />lines and sewage disposal system and treatment plant of the Orange <br />County Joint Outfall Sewer. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, <br />on motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 54-11 of the City Council <br /> authorizing an amendment to the contract <br /> providing for the participation of the <br /> City of Santa Ana in the State Employees' <br /> Retirement System, making its employees <br /> members of said system" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br /> Noes, Councilmen <br /> Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman <br /> <br /> William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br /> Thomas F. Larsen, Milford W. Dahl, <br /> Courtney R. Chandler. <br /> None <br /> None <br /> <br />Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> <br />Certificate of the Clerk, certifying that the petition filed to form <br /> <br />a Parking District, has the requisite number of qualified signers <br />representing .3771% of the total assessed value of all land in the <br />District, was received, filed and the City Engineer directed to <br />initiate proceedings under Special Assessment Investigation, Limit- <br />ation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 and authorizing him to employ <br />special assistance if necessary. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Dahl, <br />seconded by Larsen and carried, the request of N.D.Whitman, Jr., <br />Consulting Engineer, on behalf of Market Basket, Inc., for twenty- <br />five foot driveways for proposed market building at 17th and Flower <br />Streets, was granted. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Dahl, <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the request of the Board of Education <br />for four boulevard stop signs at the intersection of Santa Clara and <br />Baker Street was denied. On recommendation of the Manager and on <br />motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, one <br />pedestrian zone immediately south of the black top entrance to the <br />school grounds and a loading zone in front of the school, were granted, <br />at the Santiago School. <br /> <br /> <br />
